Marion has become a cherished part of our community since she joined our premium care services two years ago. Her laughter fills our weekly companionship visits, and the special outings we arrange bring her immense joy. Whether it's a stroll through the park or a visit to a local garden centre, each experience deepens our bond. Harrington Homecare's holistic approach to care planning and the delivery of our care services, aims to take into account and consider a clients physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.

'I am very happy with the quality of the care that Dad enjoys and am hugely grateful to Harrington for everything they have done so far. When he first came out of the hospital he had lost a lot of his enthusiasm for life, but the combination of his physical needs being taken nicely taken care of and the fact that the carers take a real interest in him, providing conversation and genuine companionship, has been restorative. He isn't as mobile or as independent as he used to be but he has a good life nonetheless. In addition, I have been impressed by how well-managed the service is, there is great attention to detail and a high level of respect for both Dad as an individual and his family - we adore him and he deserves the best.'

When you genuinely care for someone, you care about that person's wellbeing, be it their physical wellbeing, but most importantly you want to see that person you care about happy and fulfilled in their everyday life.

Harrington Homecare provides support and assistant from a practical level, but most importantly our care always looks at the bigger picture to promote a person's overall wellbeing, enjoyment and fulfilment of life.

'Harrington have been caring for my Dad since his discharge from hospital in August 2023, and we couldn’t have asked for better.
They have been utterly focused on the welfare of my Dad, providing high-quality carers who have lived in. Both the carers and the office are always responsive to Dad's needs and are very open to listening and modifying the care as required.
I was especially impressed early on when they worked very hard to understand him and to make sure the care was as geared to him as possible. I simply can’t fault them
A really important element of their service has been to liaise with the medical professionals - GP, community nurses and so on, which has left us to get on with enjoying his company. They also take time to really listen and work through any issues sensitively to arrive at good solutions as their needs have evolved.

Getting it right day in day out for those who choose Harrington Homecare matters so much to me and my amazing team of care professionals, and with feedback like this, I cannot thank the team I have around me who deliver just that .....

I was quite lost in my search for a reliable, professional care provider, for my mother who has mild dementia. Having had a rather negative experience beforehand, it was a great relief to come into contact with Harrington Homecare. From the start, I felt they really understood the issues and what was important for us as a family. Our situation is complex, but nonetheless, they supported us every step of the way, with Mum as their priority. They always paid attention to Mum and engaged her in activities focussing on her interests. They would notice any change and notify us without delay. I felt we were in very good hands and this was an enormous benefit even for my own wellbeing. Thank you!

What do we know about healthy aging?

Many factors influence healthy aging. Some of these, such as genetics are out of our control. Others - like exercise, a healthy diet, going to the doctor regularly, and taking care of our mental health are within our reach.

The Harrington team takes a holistic approach to keeping well and supporting wellbeing, and we are actively working throughout our local community helping raise awareness at events such as the local church meeting we attended today.
