As July ends, I want to pause and celebrate a milestone that slipped by because life happened…
My baby podcast, Blocks & Barriers https://lnkd.in/dXWKghKf, turned 1 year old in the middle of the month! 🎉🎊🎊🎊
I didn’t get to celebrate on the day itself as planned.
An inspiring episode I had planned for episode 39 was mysteriously deleted.
Episode 40 (a popular number from the Bible) that I'd planned to end the season with was never recorded for a variety of reasons.
But despite all that, I feel deeply grateful. 💜
Every guest and every story has built this podcast into what it is today:
A space that explores the real-life Blocks and Barriers to our health and wellbeing—stress, burnout, grief, chronic illness, perimenopause, sleep, mental health, workplace issues, racism, relocating, divorce, weight issues—and the practical, lifestyle-driven ways we can start moving forward again.
It is very possible to change your health at anytime and be more happier!
My goal for the podcast was never to be a Ryan Coogler, Ava DuVernay, Spike Lee or James Cameron Production.
My goal from episode 1 has been to help listeners move from:
“I didn’t even know this was affecting my health”
to
“I see it, I get it, and I can do something” or
“I didn’t even know that could help!"
Because health isn’t just about knowledge—it’s about awareness, choice, consistency, and Taking Action, even when life feels heavy.
1.How aware are you about what would work for your health?
2.What choices are you making each day? Are they supporting or sabotaging your health and goals?
3.On a scale of 1-10, 10 being consistent, how consistent are you?
4.Are you taking action where you can?
If there’s an area of your health where you feel:
😞 Stuck
🤷🏽 Unsure where to start

Sometimes, a simple conversation can spark the motivation to take that first small step—and those steps add up.
Here’s to a year of learning, sharing, and breaking through the Blocks & Barriers to quality health and life. 💜
