🌈ntroduction to Hora in Astrology:
Hora means hour is derived from the word Aho Rathra meaning the duration of day and night.
There is 7 horas Sun, Ven, Mer, Moon, Sat, Jup and Mars rule the horas. The hora starts with day lord and the sequence follows.
The time from sunrise to the next sunrise is divided into 24 s approximately 24 horas ruling 1 hour each.
🕰Uses of Hora:
1.Prasna
2.Muhurtha
3.Solar/ lunar (Day, Month, and Year) prediction.
4.Predictive astrology.
The rules for using Hora is similar for Prasna , Muhurtha ,Year prediction and in predictive astrology . The application alone differs.
🌷Hora lord Uses:
Sun: Career, health, sports, government, authority figures.
Moon: Public relations, family, domestic, mother, personal needs, social life, travel, change. loan.
Mars: Physical activity, competition, sports, brothers.
Mercury: Communications, mental work, education, information, errands, clerical work, presentations, business.
Jupiter: Financial, philosophical, religious, travel, education, children.
Ven: Romance, emotion, social life, rendezvous, Finance, family, sensory experience, the arts, entertainment.
Sat: Stable matters, Foundation laying , paying bills, taking care of responsibilities .
This is just a gist all the parasari karkatwam of the planets are ruled by the Hora lord.

4. Planets in 5th and 9th from the Hora lord modify the hora results
5.Planets in 2nd and 12th modify the results of the hora lord.
6.Planets in the 7th have a strong influence on the Hora
7.Planets in 11th from the hora lord have a bearing on the hora
8. Retrograde planet is also analysed from the previous house.
❓Hora and Prasna:🌞
If benefics are in 5 or 9th from Hora lord the prasna has a positive outcome.
If Malefics are in 5 or 9 from Hora lord the prasna has a negative outcome.
Malefics with hora lord show obstacles
Benefics in 2nd show the nourishment and support
Benefics in the 12th show the past benign influences.
Malefics in 2nd show the impediment’s in achievement.
Malefics in the 12th show the past negative influences.
Malefics in the 7th show oppositions.
Retrograde malefic with the hora lord is negation of prasna.
A retrograde planet is analysed also from the previous house.
Eg 1:
If a question is made in Moons hora and Sat and Ketu are in 5th and 9th from Moon the prasna will not be achieved
Eg:2.
If the question is made in Mer hora and Jup and Ven are in 5th and 9th from Mer the outcome of the hora is positive.
The late Bhaskar Chakraborty use to predict all about the persons past, family and the future using only the Prasna Hora lord .
Use of Hora in Prasna is most easiest and effective methods in Prasna astrology.
The Same above rule is used in judging Muhurta and daily monthly yearly prediction.
⚛Hora and Muhurta Principles:
The Panchanga shudhi day is selected and then the concerned hora is chosen.
Jup Hora can be taken for all auspicious activities.
Ven hora can be taken for Marriage, commercial, pleasurable activities.
Mer hora can be taken for all education, learning, travel, business contracts etc.
Moons hora can be taken travel, agriculture, and short-term works.
Sat hora can be chosen for foundations and stable works.
Sun Hora can be chosen for Profession purposes.
Mars hora can be chosen for fighting, law suits, medical, sports etc.
Choose the hora connected to the signification or karakatawam .
The hora lord must not be with malefics , avoid Malefic in 5th 9th from the hora lord and the 2nd 7th also must not have malefics .
Benefics in 1 2 5 7 9 from lord increases the auspiciousness of the Muhurtha.
🌍Yearly Monthly Daily Predictions:
The solar year uses the same method in predicting the outcome of the year. The strength and association of the hora lord will describe the outcome of the year. Local Panchang predictions are based on the hora lord on Solar ingression.
The same above-mentioned rules are used.
👆Eg:
13th April 2019 New Delhi Sun entered Mesha in Mer Hora. The Lagna was Libra and Mer was in the 6th debilitated with Badaka lord Sun in the 2nd Ketu Moon in trine) with no benefics in the 2nd, 5th 7th or 9th house. The sign lord Jup is neecha with malefics Sun and Mars.
Debilitated Mer in the 6th with sign lord also debilitated with Sun Ketu affecting the 2nd all was were affected by the Corona pandemic and the lock down issues.
🔮Hora and Predictive astrology:
The Panchanga aspects of Day, Nakshatra, Tithi , Karna and Yoga is the Pancha or 5 elemental strengths of the chart .
The day shows the Fire Tatwa ie the dharma of the individual. The 1 5 9 houses traits of Instinct, creativity and Awareness or wisdom potential is known from the day lord and the Hora lord shows the specific focus of one’s fire principle.
A strong hora lord shows a fire dominated personality.
Sun Mars as hora lords give a dynamic personality and increases the fire principle.
Ven Moon as Hora lords helps creativity pursuits.
Jup as Hora lord gives spirituality and wisdom.
Mer as hora lord gives quickness, alertness, alacrity and intelligence.
Sat as hora lord dampens the fire and one can be patient slow and procrastinating.
The hora lord must be strong and in good association with supporting planets in 1 2 5 7 9 and 12 houses.
