For a long time, my experience with endometriosis felt like a constant battle.

A continuous effort to "switch off" from the pain and discomfort ❌

And then mindfulness teachings entered my life 🪷

It taught me that all experiences, even (and especially) discomfort, the sensation of pain, and what we perceive as limitations, are teachers.

I wake up and I am presented with a choice each day: to resist or to embrace.

And I find myself, with increasing intention, choosing to embrace.

More than that:

This experience has led me to dive more deeply into understanding and working with women's health, not solely for my own well-being, but also to extend support and compassion to others navigating similar situations.

It has been a journey of shifting perspective, and something I am deeply passionate about has emerged.

✨ I warmly invite you to join me this Wednesday at 12 PM at for a special yoga class, designed to offer tools in managing painful periods.

During our time together, we will gently explore movements, mindful breathwork, and restorative poses, all intended to cultivate a sense of ease within your cycle 🧘

Later that day, at 6 PM, join us for the talk led by women's health nutritionist and health coach Samantha, founder of Happy Body Ltd, where we will further explore practical ways to approach and manage painful periods 👩‍🏫

It's going to be a nourishing day!

A word for those of you quietly showing up with invisible pain today!

Lately, endo & adeno pain have been knocking again for me 👋

You might not be navigating endometriosis (if you are, high five, I'd love for you to say hi ❤️), but maybe you know your own version of pain: physical, emotional, invisible, isolating.

Here are 3 gentle reminders (courtesy of Buddhism) that are helping me show up together with my messy humanity these days:

📦 Pain is a soup →
Zoom in. It can be broken down into more manageable ingredients: body sensations, thoughts, emotions.. I can breathe a bit easier when I’m not holding the whole pot at once.

✍️ Rewrite the story →
Your 3AM brain can be a bit of a drama queen. Not every “this is going to ruin everything” thought deserves airtime.

💛 Kindness over fixing →
A simple hand on heart and: “This is hard, and I’m doing okay.” Sometimes, that’s enough.

And a reminder that pain isn’t personal.

It’s just life in a human body, lifing.

Yoga is self-indulgent stretching.

…or so many people still think!!

This morning at .community while teaching a gentle solstice flow, I mentioned that one traditional way to honour summer solstice is to do 108 sun salutations. ☀️

I’ve done it twice.
It took over 90 minutes.
By round 40 I was questioning all my life choices. 💀

And that’s yoga too!!

Not just the flowy, flexible, self-love stuff, but also the messy, frustrating, “why am I like this” stuff.

Yoga is noticing what shows up when things get hard.

It’s what you do when your ego flares, your mind resists, your body complains, and you stay anyway.

For me it has been learning to not run from discomfort.

Sounds a bit like leadership? Coaching? Human-ing?

I really believe that mindfulness is the ultimate EI-based leadership development training.

It taught me to hold space for myself, for others, and the mess in between.

So:
🌞 Happy International Yoga Day!

Forever grateful for this practice, and the work it helps me do with humans.

P.S. I offer corporate yoga + mindfulness in London and have space to take on one new team from September. If your office needs a lunchtime reset in movement, I’m your gal.

I’m closing out May with no voice left and a body that’s tired and sick, and gratitude still comes easy.

These wrap-up posts always help me see how much life fits into a month.

Family. Friends. Forests. Travels. Work. Good food. Creativity. Batsh*t chaos. And space to appreciate the full spectrum.

Here’s to honouring the mess and the magic. 🌿

How are you wrapping up your May?

WTF? = What The Function?, obviously.

I learned this gem of an acronym from psychologist Susan David, and I LOVE it.

Emotions aren’t just random noise getting in the way of what we want to achieve. They have a FUNCTION.

Similarly, stress isn’t just there to ruin your vibe.
Sometimes it’s fuel.
Sometimes it’s yelling, “PAY ATTENTION!”

So ask yourself:

What is your stress trying to tell you?

What are you unwilling to see?

What can you learn from it?

Mindfulness is the simple act of slowing down and intentionally starting noticing.

I created a Mindfulness Starter Kit for leaders to help you get started.

I just spent 3 days in Brighton for the long weekend and... I actually relaxed.

Like, fully exhaled, brain-on-holiday-mode relaxed. 🍹

And it got me thinking:

Why is it so easy to unwind when we’re away from home?

Sure, we’re off work, away from emails and folding laundry. 💻 ❌

But there’s more to it. 👇

When we’re somewhere new, WE KNOW WE DONT KNOW. 👀

The streets are unfamiliar, the coffee shop names are charming, and every now and then you see some weird sh*t that makes absolutely no sense (see photo for proof). 🏠

We HAVE to pay attention.
We HAVE to notice things.

👉 That’s mindfulness.

No meditation cushions, no bending over to touch your toes, no incense or apps. Just the simple act of actively noticing.

And research backs it up:
BEING mindful boosts happiness more than WHAT we’re doing per se. 🔥

The opposite of it is Mindlessness.

Like knowing exactly how your Monday will go because it’s always the same, and somehow getting to 6 pm in autopilot without remembering what happened. 😪

But you don’t need a vacation to feel the same quality of presence.

You can open your eyes, notice something new, and discover how it feels to be alive right now. 🔎
That’s how simple a mindfulness practice can be.

I put together a Mindfulness Starter Kit for leaders to get you started. Comment KIT and I’ll send it your way 💌
