6 things we wish weâd known before starting a retreat businessâŚ
1. Youâll gain just as much from each retreat as your guests do
You donât just give energy, you get it back too. It stays with you.
2. Capturing content is capturing joy
Half the time youâre just filming moments you donât want to forget. Itâs not that complicated.
3. Things will go wrong and youâll figure it out
Something always comes up. Those challenges and how you handle them are part of what makes it so rewarding!
4. Building a community is the real outcome
The workouts are great, but itâs the people and the connections that matter most.
5. Teaching is the easiest part of the job
The classes feel natural. Itâs everything around it that takes the most work, but itâs worth it!
6. The little moments become everything, so enjoy them!
The chats, the laughs, the in-between bits⌠thatâs what you actually remember.
Over the past 4 years, weâve hosted 7 retreats and learned a lot⌠mostly by figuring things out as we go.
More than anything, weâve learned to trust ourselves more and more, even when things feel uncertain.
No business is perfect, and you donât need to have it all figured out to start. If anything, you figure it out because you start.
If youâve been thinking about going for something⌠this is your sign to just do it.
