I see a lot of work posted with people face covered in a lot of blood. This is being posted as a result. As something to be proud of.
And I need to talk about it.
What you’re often seeing here when the face is saturated in blood is not the result of effective microneedling. It’s trauma. Uncontrolled, unnecessary trauma caused by poor technique , likely no skin support, no method, just dragging a device across someone’s face.
Here’s what you need to understand. Microneedling works by creating tiny, controlled channels in the skin that trigger your body’s natural healing response. That’s it. That’s the whole science. Controlled injury. Controlled healing. Controlled results.
The moment you move away from controlled, the moment it looks like the face is drenched in blood you are no longer doing a treatment. You are causing damage. Damage that can lead to scarring, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, infection, and broken trust.
Pinpoint bleeding? That’s completely normal at certain depths. This? This is not that.
You deserve a practitioner who treats your skin like it’s precious. Because it is.
