NHS Better Health offers a range of free quitting support. This includes the NHS Quit Smoking app, a personal quit plan tool, help to find a local stop smoking service and advice on quitting techniques such as switching to vapes.

From this month, the NHS is expanding the shingles vaccination programme.

Adults aged 18+ who have a very weak immune system are now eligible for the shingles vaccine.

You don’t need to wait for an invitation — you can book at your GP practice.

💉 Flu vaccination clinics at Tudor Lodge start on 1 October 2025.

Children aged 2–3 and pregnant women can already be vaccinated.

From 1 October, vaccinations will also be available for over 65s, carers, those in clinical at-risk groups and patients with learning disabilities.
