💚 January is cervical cancer awareness month

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. Regular cervical screening helps find early cell changes before they can turn into cancer, often before you notice any symptoms.

Screening is not a test for cancer. It is a simple check that looks for the human papillomavirus (HPV), which causes most cervical cancers. If HPV or cell changes are found early, they can usually be monitored or treated effectively.

Attending your cervical screening when invited can save lives. Even if you feel well, screening is important as cervical cancer often has no warning signs in the early stages.

If you have received an invitation, please book your appointment. If you are unsure whether screening is right for you, our team is here to talk and answer any questions.

Early detection makes a difference 💚

Anxiety is often described as a feeling of fear or unease – and it’s something everyone experiences at times. Feeling anxious is a perfectly natural reaction to some situations.

Anxiety can help us to focus or take extra care when needed, but if it gets too much or goes on for a while, it can affect our daily life.

Luckily, there are ways to deal with anxiety that really work, and spotting the signs of anxiety is the first step.
