November 1st is a significant date for the lives of people who suffer from chronic conditions that cannabis helps to manage.
On this date, 5 years ago, Sajid Javid, who was the Home Secretary, announced that the laws surrounding cannabis were to be changed and cannabis was to be available as a medication.
This was good news to patients all over the U.K., finally their medication would be available legally.
This was also fantastic news to various parents turned campaigners, as their children’s cannabis oil medication would finally be available through the NHS.
Sadly, this was not the case as the NHS refused to prescribe cannabis oils with THC, due to no UK product trials having been undertaken. Only 3 children were prescribed CBMP’s, the rest had to obtain this through costly private prescriptions.
Jorja is unfortunately one of “2018’s Forgotten Children”. Her life depends on the cannabis oil medication that her father and others worked so hard to legalise.

We are supporting and joining End Our Pain at their event in Parliament on Wednesday 8th November. They are calling for a reimbursement scheme to help families, like Jorja’s, pay for their children’s life-saving cannabis oil medication.
