PUBLICATION DAYYYYY 📚🥳

I honestly cannot contain my excitement. Feels so good to write this- MY BOOK THE 30 PLAN IS OUT NOWWWWW! The day is finally here, I am buzzing and hardly slept as I’ve been waited for this day for what has felt like forever. 😬😬😬EEKKK!

Such a BIG achievement and a career highlight, I worked SO HARD and so happy that this book will be able to help so many people with Understanding their gut and improving their gut health and wellbeing. So proud, I wish I could package this feeling rn 🥲🥲🥲

With all the nutrition bulls**t out there from influencers and scientists claiming to have magic pills, cures and ridiculous restrictive diets and over complicated plans to follow it’s so hard to know what to believe and so confusing too. 🚮🚮🚮

My book is easy to understand, with a simple plan focusing on how to add in more fibre and plants, that is accessible and focuses on the evidence out there now. No ludicrous claims or quick fixes.

It’s been a busy time with just over a week until publishing date. I am SO HAPPY 😁 and excited and a little petrified too 😂🤪

Just when I thought I couldn’t cry anymore from the overwhelming outpouring of love and support for Book from all of you. I am also featured in online 😲‼️🥲

Thank you SO much for asking me to feature and showcasing the book In such a wonderful light 💡📖. Such a brilliantly written piece, that gives such a great insight into what 30 Plants a week means and why it supports gut health. This is what my book is all about! 🤗🥰

On a personal one, thank you all the sharing, comments and likes over the book. It really is helping me get over my imposter syndrome. I am no good at biggin’ myself up, hardly nobody knows at work (apart from my team!) But you all are giving me such a confidence boost to continue sharing and screaming about this book and how it will help so many wanting to learn more about nutrition and gut health. I really am so soooo grateful.

Happy 2024 ✨💫🌎

I hope you are all keeping well and your year has started as you mean for it to go on 🙏🏾♥️🥰

I’ve had one of the best starts so far, I’ve spent it in Tobago with my family and my book is out in less than a month, on 1st February!!! 😱😬🎉

Also seeing book feature in TWO articles by the wonderful is just amazing ✨🤩

Not sure about you, but my timeline is full of s**t rn about detoxing, dieting, gut cleansing etc. 😴⛔️😒 It’s the Wild Wild West out ‘ere but it really doesn’t have to be. Mute it and unfollow if you need to. “NEW YEAR, NEW ME” is not a flex.

In fact, my book has a huge chapter debunking gut health myths, many of which you will be seeing now. It took me months of research and and I really enjoyed writing it (once it was done obvs, during I hated it a bit 😂).

I cover: Intolerance tests, colonic cleanses, ACV, debloat supplements, juice cleanses, bone broth PLUS much moreeeee.

If this year you do want to work on your gut health that’s wonderful but please remember it should not be about restricting ‼️
More is more ‼️
Focus needs to be on increasing plants, more diversity, more fibre, more polyphenols (colourful fruit and veg), more foods containing live cultures (probiotics) and prebiotics‼️
My book explains the power that all of these have on your gut and why. Along with a plan on how to achieve it‼️

To add: If you are wanting to make any improvements to your overall health this year, which may relate to nutrition, exercise or mindset. Please remember it should always be for YOU and nobody else.

🫧🫧 Why am I bloating? 🫧🫧

Ever wondered why it may happen or what could be adding to it? 💭

🇬🇧Up to 75% of people in the UK experience it, you are not alone! 😖

🎈Bloating is a normal bodily function that indicates digestion is happening and your gut microbes are thriving. 🦠
However, when it is felt more than once a week, and is with pain/discomfort it may be an issue.

🍽There are several foods which contribute to bloating. But it is important not to cut out entire food groups, as this may reduce overall nutrient intake and starve the gut microbes of fibre which could then lead to more gut symptoms.

🧘🏽‍♀️It is not always food related though: stress, tight clothes, drinking through a straw or even rushing your meals can also add to it.

Many causes may be contributing to the bloating from dietary choices to medical conditions such as IBS.

🥴If you experience severe pain alongside bloating in your abdomen, this could be visceral hypersensitivity.

😖Stress, severe pain and disregulated nervous system are all factors that impact the hypersensitivity and the severity of bloating appears worse.

If you are concerned about your bloating it may be useful to speak with your GP.

📝 Recording a food and symptom diary is a great way of identifying your trigger foods.
