So, the gym is looking busy these days, a lot of people are on the "new year, new me" train , which is great !
It's lovely seeing people stepping up to take care of their health. The only hiccup with it, it often turns to be a fad and last for a few weeks. A lot of people lose motivation, struggle to find time, and eventually the gym gear end up in a dusty corner.
This can all be avoided very easily, just don't bite more than you can chew, take your time with it, going back to work after the holiday period is already disorientating, don't push too hard trying to workout 5 days a week as a beginner.
Start with a couple of hours a week, find your rhythm, find a balance, a bit of weights, a bit of cardio, a bit of stretching, start with a 45min session or two a week and build on that. It's a long journey, you will not end up doing 10 push ups clean or benching 225 by march, be aware of it and pace yourselves.
If you need help getting some structure and motivation with it, my DMs are open and I have a few available time slots for new clients, don't hesitate !
