When a patient completely destroys their previous full-arch…
there’s no room for guesswork.

This severe wear case required:
✔️ Multiple staged try-ins
✔️ Temporary validation
✔️ Absolute control of occlusion and vertical

We also used the new Tuple scan flags, compatible with Fast & Fixed and Unicone MUAs — giving us accurate digital data without relying on standard MUAs.

Precision first.
Longevity always.

🦷 A restoration can look fully seated and still be under stress.

In the lab, passive fit isn’t visual — it’s mechanical.

Here’s what we look for:
• Does it seat without finger pressure?
• Do screws drop in freely, one at a time?
• Does torque increase evenly — or does it pull the framework down?
• Does anything shift when another screw is tightened?

If screws have to force it into place, the fit isn’t passive — even if margins look perfect.

🔬 This is exactly why we use photogrammetry.
It captures the true, precise implant positions without distortion, so the framework is designed to fit passively — not pulled into place later.

Why this matters ⬇️
Hidden tension shows up as:
• Loose or fractured screws
• Framework fractures
• Component wear
• Long-term implant stress

📌 Cement can hide this. Screws expose it.
📌 Photogrammetry helps prevent it from the start.

Passive fit isn’t about how it looks at delivery —
it’s about how it behaves under load.

🦷 The temporary isn’t temporary.

If the temp is wrong, the final will be worse — every time.

Why? 👇
Because the provisional is where everything gets tested:
• 🗣️ Phonetics
• ⚖️ Occlusion
• 😁 Esthetics
• 😌 Comfort

By the time we design the final, we’re not guessing.
We’re copying what already works.

Skipping this step or rushing it doesn’t save time —
it just moves the problems downstream ⏳

📌 Treat the temp like a prototype, not a placeholder.
Your finals will thank you.

🦷 Want More Full Arch Cases? Start With Better Workflow.
Patients don’t buy implants — they buy confidence, predictability, and results.

Here are 3 non-negotiables before scan day that separate high-performing full arch practices from everyone else 👇

1️⃣ Verification That Protects Your Profit
Photogrammetry cuts out jigs, remakes, and extra chair time.
➡️ Faster delivery + fewer appointments = higher case acceptance and happier patients.

2️⃣ Scan Flags That Preserve Accuracy (and Reputation)
Clean, seated, system-correct scan bodies keep your cases aligned and your outcomes predictable.
One wrong flag can cost you remakes, delays, and patient trust.

3️⃣ Alignment That Delivers Results You Can Market
Marker screws/arch tracers allow your lab to align scans perfectly — which means fewer surprises, smoother surgery days, and more show-stopping before-and-after photos.

💡 Here’s the truth:
Patients talk.
Precise workflows lead to fewer complications, higher satisfaction, and more referrals.

📌 Full arch success isn’t luck — it’s workflow. And workflow drives revenue.

Photogrammetry looks scary… until someone shows you how easy it actually is.

If you’re a dentist who’s curious but nervous to try it, you’re not alone.

Today’s immediate load was done with a customer using photogrammetry for the very first time.

When you do your first case, I go with you, walk you through the workflow, and show you exactly how the scanner works.
No overwhelm. No guessing. Just hands-on learning and a smooth result.

The success or failure of your full arch case is determined even before the first scan!
From case classification, communication, wax-ups, and data acquisition… every step sets the trajectory of the final outcome.
When you follow a clear prosthetically driven workflow, you eliminate remakes, guesswork, and stress — for clinician AND lab.
Want predictable full-arch success? It starts before the burr touches bone.

✅ Most Common Clinical & Digital Mistakes That Cause Lab Issues

1. Poor or Incomplete Impressions / Scans
• Incomplete margins
• Missing distal surfaces
• Collapsed soft tissue
• Moisture contamination
• Scan stitching errors
• Not retracting enough for clear margin exposure

2. Unclear or Inaccurate Margins
• Margins not visible due to blood, saliva, or poor retraction
• Over-aggressive chamfer or uneven margins
• No confirmation of margin clarity before sending

3. Missing or Inaccurate Bite Registrations
• No opposing arch
• Inaccurate bite scan
• Taking only one occlusal record
• Patient biting incorrectly during the scan

4. Poor Communication With the Lab
• No shade photo
• No prep shade
• No instructions on material preference
• Vague or missing design expectations (shape, length, contours)
• Sending messages at the fit appointment instead of during planning

5. No Diagnostic Wax-Up / Blueprint
• Sending “prep and pray” cases
• Expecting the lab to guess the esthetic outcome
• Not providing smile design references

6. Incorrect Case Classification or Planning
• Misidentifying implant case type
• Not describing occlusal scheme
• Attempting complex cases without proper documentation
• Not informing the lab about pathological occlusal issues

7. Bad Photos or Not Enough Photos
• Poor lighting
• Wrong angulation
• No shade tab alignment
• No full-face smile photos when needed

8. Poor Prep Design
• Insufficient clearance
• Under-reduction or uneven reduction
• Sharp edges instead of smooth transitions
• Heavy bevels or unsupported enamel

9. Not Following Photogrammetry or Implant Scanning Protocols
• Incorrect order of scans
• Missing soft-tissue scan
• Improper alignment of scan bodies
• Wrong scan body brand entered

10. Rushing or Skipping Verification
• Not reviewing scans before sending
• Assuming “the lab will fix it”
• Not double-checking STL files for artifacts

🧩 Bottom Line

You don’t need cheaper labs —
you need cleaner data, clearer communication, and proper planning.
