There are many reasons why your bot*x might not last as long as you want it to, Dr Ali shares the reasons why this might be the case:

Not following the correct aftercare advice, this can lead to the Botox settling incorrectly
Not using enough bot*x, this happens when an injector is trying to conserve costs or if they aren’t confident with their dosing and are worried about causing the brows or eye lid to drop. The latter shouldn’t happen if the dosing is placed correctly and in the right distribution so it’s all about confidence and experience

Sometimes it’s just you- some people have resistance to Bot*x where they produce antibodies that can reduce its effectiveness. In those cases the only option is to keep increasing the dose until it becomes effective but these clients will often find that they need to do Bot*x more frequently than others.

As well as treating under eyes we also do many corrections as well. Some people go to inexperienced injectors where the filler doesn’t settle well and then needs dissolving then refilling.

There’s 2 important points here:

Dermal filler can be corrected if need be, this adds a ‘safety net’ that you don’t otherwise have with permanent treatments like fat transfer

It’s better just to get it done properly in the first place, it might cost a little more than your local salon or low-end clinics but it saves you the hassle of having to spend more time, money and energy to then fix it when it goes wrong

Pigmentation can be more noticeable in people with Asian or Middle Eastern descent and this often courts for a variety of reasons.

However, fat transfer doesn’t remove pigmentation anymore than dermal fillers do. It’s just a more expensive and less reversible way of treating an issue which could very well be improved with simple injectable treatments like dermal fillers.
