I don't think I shared this here so I will now.
I was invited by Rachel Patterson to partake in a Moon Books special podcast about Samhain/Halloween.
All four of us are British women witches and Moon Books authors and we discuss our similarities and differences in our practice-- it's to show there's no such thing as right and wrong in the pagan way, as long as you do no harm.
I'm sharing this now because today we just wrapped up filming and recording our Yule special, coming to you in December! Which will include a cameo of my ONE Christmas decoration of a Christmas tree ghost 🤣
I've really enjoyed both of these and Rachel has said we've had excellent feedback of viewers enjoying this video....So maybe we will go through the whole wheel of the year? Would you like that?

This book was born from grief--- from surviving an ectopic pregnancy and then the sudden loss of someone I loved deeply. Writing it became an art of alchemy, a way to weave heartbreak into something healing, something luminous. Because that's what words do: they can heal and they can illuminate the way.

WORD WITCHERY is for anyone who's ever used language as a spell--to heal, to remember, to reclaim your voice, to connect with the ancestral and historical power of words & poetry magic. Writing this manuscript was my North Star through the dark, I hope it lights the path for you too.

It's been a short while since I've posted & that's for a few factors. One of which is: I did a very special 3 day training, I'm now officially certified to facilitate Yoga Nidra-- the yogic art of conscious rest and dreamlike awareness.

My foundational training back in 2019 was in Ayurvedic Hatha yoga which I loved but I've always been drawn to the slower, more inward path--- the place where philosophy, mysticism, the liminal and deep rest meet.

Yoga Nidra feels like a continuation of my lifelong fascination with the liminal-- the spaces between waking & dreaming, life & death, our world & the spirit world.
😴
As a wise woman I've walked with the goddess Hecate for years, she being a deity of the crossroads. And ever since I was 5 years old I've been a lucid dreamer, and later became intrigued by dream symbolism as well as such concepts as reincarnation and communing with higher consciousness or the spirit realm.

In my academic studies in social history, I dive deep into cultural & anthropological research in folklore, belief in magic & even death to understand that very human intrinsic desire to commune with the liminal.

In my book "Word Witchery" I include visual journey writing exercises to help readers find inspiration for their creativity via channeling these dreamy places.

It is my hope to include yoga nidra in some of my book events as part of special workshops AND offer donation based women's circles that includes writing rituals with Nidra specifically for baby loss grief.

Blessed Samhain and Halloween everyone.
Samhain this year is a cosy one for me. Spooky movies, books and craft. I'm making a spirit house, a grumpy Mandrake and embellishing my broom with ribbons, shells, bells, feathers and charms!

Samhain is a perfect time to announce another publication of mine in a short story collection of magical realist folk-horror entitled "Incurable: Stories from the world of Cure" curated by Running Wild Press.
My short story "Kooshti Lollipop Sherbet C*nt"
Is about death, resurrection, growth and that change can be both brutal and beautiful.

I'm working on a third short story to publish soon as well as my own solo short story collection for the new year to be pitched to a publisher.

As a hedgewitch who works with dreams and the threshold, I love this time to year. Taking this moment to rest within this liminal time to commune with my ancestors, create a dumb supper with offerings and be in gratitude

My book is officially out and available in the UK online and will be in a plethora of bookshops.
It'll be available in the USA on the 18th November.

My publicist has told me there's a lot of buzz about the book already!
The recent giveaway reel on IG has reached over 14k views so far and 100 people bookmarking the reel-- I was told people do that as a reminder to themselves to buy the book at some point.
My IG gained a jump in followers within a few days, I'm now at 4,300!
It's all been quite surreal.

Podcast and magazine interviews are on the way. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been there for me from the ground up! This book is very special to me and I hope people will enjoy reading it.
