From experience, I see a lot of positive changes after surgery.

Changes in posture, how the patient walks in after surgery, and how they carry themselves.

It affects clothing, confidence, and social situations.

9️⃣ What if I can still feel tissue after gynecomastia surgery

Some patients worry that they can still feel tissue under the ar**la or ni**le.

Feeling tissue is not always a reason to remove more tissue because removing too much can lead to a hollowed appearance.

So feeling tissue is not always a problem.

The aim of surgery is to achieve a normal chest contour.

Sometimes a normal contour is achieved by removing everything.
Sometimes tissue needs to be left behind to achieve a normal contour.

8️⃣ Touch ups are part of normal surgical practice

In my practice, most patients do not need touch ups, but some patients do.

We all heal differently and sometimes there may be more tissue on one side after surgery.

We assess this at six months.

If fine refinement is needed, this usually takes around half an hour under local anesthetic, and recovery is usually one to two weeks.

6️⃣ Perfect symmetry does not exist ⏳

Most patients have asymmetry to start with.
No one is 100% symmetrical.

During healing, swelling, fibrosis, and scar tissue can make asymmetry appear more obvious.

This is normal and not a reason to worry.
As healing progresses, the body remodels and things usually even out over time.

The aim of surgery is to achieve a natural result and make any asymmetry as minimal and unnoticeable as possible.
