What is lip balancing? 🤍

Lip balancing is a technique where we use dermal filler to create a more harmonious proportion between the top and bottom lip. In cases where the top lip is naturally smaller, like in this patient, we strategically inject more filler into the upper lip to bring it into better balance with the lower lip and overall facial features.

🧪 Please note: The top lip appears more swollen in this photo as we focused more product in that area. Swelling is completely normal after filler and typically subsides within 1–2 weeks — at which point the final result is more refined and natural-looking.

This patient started with a smaller top lip and now has a more balanced, symmetrical look. We always tailor each treatment to suit the individual’s natural anatomy for the most flattering outcome. 💉✨

On the left, you can see the treated side after 1ml of filler in the nasolabial fold (smile line), compared to the untreated side on the right. In total, we used 2ml — 1ml per side. So satisfying right?

It’s important to know: filler won’t make these lines disappear completely, but it can significantly soften and improve them. Nasolabial folds are often caused by volume loss in the cheeks, so sometimes we also add cheek filler to create a more lifted, refreshed look.

Remember, cheek filler doesn’t actually “lift” the face physically like surgery or threads would, but it helps support and balance the overall appearance.

✨ Always set realistic expectations — it’s about softening, not erasing.

FAQ: Will chin filler remove a double chin?
No, unfortunately it won’t. Chin filler isn’t liposuction — we’re not removing fat or tissue, we’re adding volume to improve structure and proportion. By elongating the chin, we can enhance your profile and create a clearer jawline, but it won’t remove a double chin.
