✨ A very exciting milestone for us ✨

After months of planning, writing, editing and pulling together perspectives from across the team, we can officially announce that our inaugural In Practice: Annual Review 2025 is now live!

Bringing together clinical insight, team perspectives and wider women’s health data, the report reflects a number of themes that are becoming increasingly clear in practice. 💡

We’re hugely proud of this piece of work and of everyone involved in making it happen. Here are a few sneak peeks into some of the articles included in our report.

The full report is now available to download and read via the link in our bio and in the comments below. 📲

The updated Women’s Health Strategy is out and we see a focus particularly around diagnosis, symptom recognition and patient experience.💡

These are not new challenges. They’ve been well recognised across our sector for some time.

What feels more significant is the shift in emphasis: from simply acknowledging these gaps, to asking how they are addressed in practice, and where accountability sits across the pathway.

Because improving access is only part of the picture.
Consistency in how symptoms are assessed, how decisions are made, and how care is delivered day-to-day will ultimately determine whether meaningful change is achieved.

The direction is encouraging. The focus now is on how this translates into real, measurable improvements in care. 💙

As part of our In Practice: The Period Gap series, we are excited to announce that our next session will explore the point at which changes in bleeding patterns may need to be considered as abnormal.

“It’s Not ‘Just a Period’: Understanding Cervical Health” will be led by Miss Sapna Shah, Consultant Gynaecologist, and will focus on the gap that can exist between how symptoms are interpreted and when further investigation is needed.

The session will cover:

✨ common misconceptions around HPV
✨ when abnormal bleeding should prompt further assessment
✨ the role of cervical screening in clinical decision-making
✨ how to approach these conversations with patients

This is part of our wider focus on creating space for more practical, clinically relevant discussions, grounded in day-to-day practice for medical professionals.

We look forward to seeing you there! Please register via the link in our bio ➡️

Ovarian cancer isn’t always “silent” - but its symptoms are often easy to overlook.

Only around 1 in 5 cases are diagnosed early, which is why recognising the signs matters.

As Miss Sapna Shah explains, it’s not just what the symptoms are, but how often they happen. Persistent bloating, pelvic pain, feeling full quickly, or needing to urinate more often, especially if this is happening most days, shouldn’t be ignored. 💡

There is currently no screening test that provides certainty for ovarian cancer, and smear tests do not detect it so knowing what to look for is key.

If something doesn’t feel right, it’s always worth getting checked. 💙

We see a lot of patients who just want a clearer understanding of what’s going on.

Sometimes it’s because of symptoms such as irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, changes that don’t feel quite right. Sometimes it’s simply reassurance.

A pelvic ultrasound can help give that clarity.

To mark International Women’s Day, we’re offering pelvic ultrasound scans at £250 between 2–13 March across all our clinics.

There’s also the option to add a 30-minute virtual consultation to talk through your results (please note this is an additional cost).

If a scan has been on your mind for a while, this might be a good time to book it in. 🤍

Afraid to get a hysterectomy? You’re not alone.

Nathalie’s fibroids caused her womb to grow 14 times larger than a healthy uterus. She was living with severe pain, heavy blood loss and symptoms that were affecting her daily life.

After careful consideration — and open conversations about the stigma often surrounding hysterectomy — Nathalie made the decision that was right for her.

Under the care of Dr Mez at London Gynaecology, she felt informed, supported and confident throughout the process. Today, she’s thriving and feels better than she has in years.

Her powerful story was shared on The Blended Podcast with Kate Ferdinand, helping other women realise they’re not alone in facing these decisions.

If you’re struggling with fibroids, heavy bleeding or pelvic pain, specialist advice can make all the difference. Contact Us.
