If you’ve ever left an appointment still unsure about what’s going on in your body, you’re not alone.

In her clinic, Miss Akila Karthikeyan, Consultant Gynaecologist at London Gynaecology, often meets people who arrive worried. Some of the most common concerns she hears about are around heavy or irregular bleeding, symptoms in early pregnancy, or how to plan treatment and recovery in a way that fits her patients’ lives.

Her approach is simple: take the time to listen, explain what’s happening clearly, and work together on a plan that makes sense for you.

Because understanding your body, and feeling reassured, matters just as much as getting the right diagnosis. 💜

As we come to the end of 2025, we’ve been taking a moment to reflect.

This year, we cared for over 8,700 patients, each appointment bringing its own questions, concerns and stories. It’s a privilege to be trusted with that care.

We welcomed new colleagues, opened the doors to our Richmond clinic, launched our first London tube campaign, hosted our first patient event during Menopause Awareness Month, refreshed our brand and website, and continued to focus on what matters most: thoughtful, specialist care.

Our community also kept growing. Reaching over 5,000 people here reminded us that care doesn’t just happen in clinic: it’s also about conversation, reassurance and shared knowledge.

Thank you to everyone who trusted us this year, worked with us, supported us, and followed along.

Here’s to what’s next 🤍

✨ IN THE CLINIC: Understanding PCOS with Miss Saadia Shah ✨

PCOS is common, but it’s also one of the most misunderstood gynaecological conditions.

In clinic, Miss Saadia Shah, Consultant Gynaecologist at London Gynaecology, often sees patients who come in worried they might have PCOS, but unsure what that actually means for their body, their cycles, or their fertility.

Irregular periods, skin changes, weight concerns or fertility worries don’t automatically equal a PCOS diagnosis. It’s about looking at the whole picture: symptoms, hormone tests and ultrasound findings to get an understanding of what’s really going on. 💡

Saadia’s approach is centred on clarity, reassurance and personalised care, helping patients leave their appointment with answers and a plan that makes sense for them.

If you’ve been questioning your symptoms or feel unsure about PCOS, you don’t have to figure it out alone. 💜

Now working at our Moorgate and Harley Street clinics, Saadia brings 20 years of experience to the London Gynaecology team. If you’d like to book in with Miss Shah, head to our website or give us call. ➡️

Expert Spotlight: Miss Natasha Abdul Aziz ✨

Natasha recently joined London Gynaecology as a Consultant Gynaecologist, and is known for her calm, thoughtful and patient-led approach to care.

She works closely with each patient to understand their symptoms, priorities and concerns, taking the time to explain options clearly and ensure care is tailored to the individual, not a checklist.

Whether it’s an outpatient procedure or longer-term gynaecological care, Natasha believes feeling informed and supported is just as important as the treatment itself. 💗

Reproductive and gynaecological health plays a much bigger role in our working lives than many people realise.

Recent reporting from The Guardian (2025) highlights the real impact, from lost income and reduced productivity to the strain of managing symptoms that often go unseen.

Behind these statistics are people navigating heavy or painful periods, chronic pelvic conditions, endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, menopause symptoms and more. All while trying to keep up with the demands of daily life and work.

At London Gynaecology, we see every day how timely specialist care, early diagnosis and compassionate support can transform someone’s quality of life, including their ability to work, thrive and feel well.

If symptoms are affecting your routine, your comfort or your capacity at work, you don’t have to push through alone. Our consultant-led team is here to help.

And if you’re an employer looking to better support colleagues facing reproductive or gynaecological health challenges, we’re always open to sharing insight and helping guide what good support can look like.

Our latest blog explores how these conditions can present differently across individuals and communities, and why some people may face additional barriers to diagnosis and treatment.
Featuring fibroid campaigner and advocate Dawn Heels, who shares her powerful journey to diagnosis, and our Consultant Gynaecologist Mez Aref-Adib, who highlights how awareness, early support and access to the right care can transform outcomes.
