When I started training to be a massage therapist in 2013 my body felt twisted and I was having regular bouts of back pain.
I’d had enough massage treatments to know it was helpful and had a lot more whilst on the course.
I followed this with some more intense treatments over the next few years, in particular a programme of Rolfing which informed the style of massage I now provide. This targets the fascia, releasing areas that are stuck to give greater freedom of movement.
The next step was exploring what sort of movement and exercise would be most beneficial for me. I tried lots of gym classes, yoga, qi-gong, capoeira, and more. All helped but the game changer was discovering Natural Movement via MovNat.
I now teach my own version of this called Natural Fitness.
Today at 47 I’m still a work in progress and will never be symmetrical but that’s fine. I’m stronger than ever with good mobility and I run ultra-marathons. Maybe I can help you too.
