Menopause can feel like a big change, but you or your loved one don’t have to go through it alone.

It’s a natural stage of life that usually happens between the ages of 45 and 55, though it can begin earlier. The changes it brings, from hot flushes and fatigue to brain fog or discomfort, can sometimes feel overwhelming.

That’s why we’re hosting a free webinar on the 30th September, to share how exercise can make a difference during the menopause journey. Our expert physiotherapist will offer practical ways to ease symptoms, improve comfort, and support long-term wellbeing.

If you can’t join us live, don’t worry. You can still register and watch on-demand, whenever it suits you. https://bit.ly/4mmf1cJ

We’re ‘baking’ a difference for Bowel Cancer UK at The Blackheath Hospital!

Last Friday, staff, patients, families, and local community members joined us for a massive bake sale and raffle! Thanks to all their generosity, we have raised nearly £2,000 in cash and from donations made to our JustGiving page.

We have been absolutely overwhelmed, with raffle donations from local businesses across Blackheath Village, and we’d like to extend a very special thank you to Millwall Football Club for their donation of a shirt, signed by their players! We sold 1,000 Raffle tickets for some amazing prizes, including a Sweaty Betty voucher, a Marks and Spencer Hamper, Wine, and meal vouchers for our local restaurants. Congratulations to all of the wonderful winners!

We have been so proud of our community, for coming together to support such a wonderful cause, and helping us to make a real difference. Thank you to everyone who baked or made a donation.

If you’d like to support our fundraiser, you can make a donation via our JustGiving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/blackheathhospitalfundraiser
