Should psychotherapists have an opinion? Should they be political and speak out on social issues? Absolutely! I believe we need to stand up and be counted. Let’s have a debate and agree to disagree. If you have a different opinion … I’m up for that. Saying that, surely this is something we can all get behind?

Interesting article. As a psychotherapist, a fragile 'adult sense of self' is something I come across all the time. I call it the problem of 'eternal adolescence'. It's complex because whilst it may have a neuro-developmental and childhood foundation, we live in a society where cutesy narcissistic culture is rife - we are bombarded with this on socials - which says so much about the political and economic times we live in.
