Central London Reflexology

Central London Reflexology Reflexology Some practitioners may also include work on points found in the face and ears. Sessions are usually performed in a comfortable chair or couch.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the belief that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which are believed to correspond to all organs and parts of the body. Reflexology works on an individual basis and may alleviate and improve symptoms such as everyday stress and tension. During a typical reflexology session the reflexologist will take a detailed medical history. If it is to be performed on the feet, the client will be asked to remove footwear and socks but other forms of reflexology require no removal of clothing. The practitioner will make a visual and tactile examination of the area to be worked before beginning the precise reflexology massage movements. The particular types of movements involved require the application of an appropriate pressure using the thumb and fingers. Reflexology can be a wonderfully relaxing experience where you can take time out from everyday pressures. The therapist’s expert touch will help you relax which can help improve mood, aid sleep and relieve tension. The result is an overall sense of wellbeing. Since qualifying as a reflexologist I have attended the following seminars:

Reflexology for people with Cancer
Shiatsu Pressure points on the feet
Gentle touch Reflexology for Children and Babies
Orthopedic Reflexology

I have also organised my own seminar in Cyprus "Managing Stress with Reflexology" and “Fibromyalgia and the benefits of Reflexology”.

I answered a call on the CNHC website for a volunteer Reflexologist at St Bart’s Cancer Care Unit. Happy to say I was accepted and started my journey as permanent volunteer.

When I first became a member I did a cancer care seminar through the AOR and it was at the same time I lost my dad to lung cancer. Unfortunately whilst I was training I was afraid to treat him, now I feel I treated him through all the patients I saw today.

It was a huge reminder how privileged I am and how much I take for granted. If we could constantly bring our minds back to be present and enjoy every moment how blessed we would be.

Happy to be representing Reflexology within the NHS at such a prestigious Hospital and the Association of Reflexologists as well as the minority men reglexologists. Can’t believe it’s been 15 years this October, what a journey. — at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

My working environment has changed somewhat over the last few months.

I have been very fortunate to start giving reflexology treatments in a corporate environment.

The response has been phenomenal, sessions booking out in 90 seconds of them being uploaded and a waiting list of people waiting for a cancellation.

Reflexology offers a focus on wellness and wellbeing in the workplace. Staff really look forward to their treatments and it allows them to rebalance and destress. It also allows discussion on making small changes to their lifestyle and how this can impact their mental health.

You know a great job is done, when your client calls you in the morning and tells you they really feel the difference.
There is a big difference between doing a job and having a passion and love of what you do.
Your clients feel the difference and
that’s what makes you different.

What we do as reflexologists is far more than just a foot rub, very different to a massage but very overlooked by so many, until they try it and experience the impact it can have on our wellness and wellbeing.

Stay cool people.

Remember to drink plenty of water if you’re outside or over heating.

Keep your feet cool by putting them under a cold tap or take a foot shower as soon as you feel yourself getting hot.

Grounding yourself in the shade on the grass and not wearing shoes and socks will also help.

Working in the heart of London for a new corporate client delivering reflexology as part of a well-being and wellness program.
The benefits of offering reflexology to staff on a regular basis are huge. They feel relaxed, appreciated and are more likely to take less sick days.
The benefits to me are I get to have lunch on the roof terrace and look out over my favourite city.

Today was a beautiful day for different reasons.

The weather wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be and I gave a very special treatment to a gentleman who is unfortunately end of life.

It is why I do what I do and why I love it passionately. To hold space for someone and allow them to completely relax and clear their mind and take them into a deep space of relaxation. Nothing comes close to that feeling of satisfaction and a deep love to want to bring another human being deep peace.
