Schools Counselling Partnership Ltd We provide therapeutic services to children, parents and staff in schools. Tailoring our service to

As a young person I suffered from an eating disorder, had low self-esteem and confidence issues. I have worked closely with many who have suffered from alchohol and drug addiction and lost friends to either cancer or su***de. These issues aren't common to me but sadly to many of us and at some point will cause us huge levels of distress. I set up the Schools Counselling Partnership to offer emotional support to children, young people, parents and staff in schools. Our aim is to provide support at an early age helping children to build resilience and coping strategies when iife does pull the rug from beneath them. Promoting the idea that "it's ok not to be ok", "it's ok to ask for help" with the aim of demistifying the stigma around therapy and mental health. Looking after our mental health (our brain) is the same as looking after our body. Much like eating well or doing exercise, it is important that we take care of our mental health and seek help when we get sick. My aim would for all children/young people to have access to a service in their school which could support them, offer advice and promote good mental health. We have a very long way to go but things are starting to change.
