For those of you interested in birth and parenting, my friend and fellow Naturopath Zakia Mance has started this wonderful podcast. It’s in French so a chance to brush up on your language skills too! X

Well hello 😊,

It has been a while since I've posted on here lovely peeps, but for good reasons - I've been busy connecting and working with some awesome people on podcasts and courses both in French and English. All linked to my forever passions; naturopathy, birth and parenting.

Starting on the 22nd of November our first podcast (en Français 🇨🇵) with the brilliant and .

We've had a blast sharing our experiences, personally and professionally and through our conversation and touching on unusual themes, we'll be able to help parents-to-be or new parents.
We all remember how scary and overwhelmed we felt, and we just wanted to bring a sense of calm and professionalism to the mix .
Looking forward to share with you our creation😇🥰

A fascinating insight into how the ‘flu was treated. There was no fear about it, just a recognition that the body needed rest, plenty of fluids, warmth and care. A dram of whisky probably didn’t hurt either!
Loved the Naturopathic approach of throat compresses, onion syrup and taking salts to support the body as it heals. We’ve gone so far from this approach in just 60years. Makes you wonder why and who stands to gain.

Always question the prevailing dogma. The narrative for so long has been of a docile egg waiting patiently for the strongest s***m to pe*****te and conquer. Not so. Why would a fundamental life process ever be so one sided?

The oldest law of genetics says that gametes combine randomly, but experiments hint that sometimes eggs select s***m actively for their genetic assets.

The sound of Echinacea is captivating.

The plant is connected to a device that measures the electrical resistance of vegetable tissues and transducing it into a MIDI signal (Musical Instruments Digital Interface). The MIDI signal then controls a synthesizer that produces the actual sound. The synth in this video is tuned at 432Hz.
Researchers research say that after some time of being exposed to their own sounds, plants seem to become aware that the sound is coming from them and they start modulating it intentionally.
