Introducing reduced cost consultations with student practitioners. These can take place most Tuesdays and Thursdays and are a great way to access high quality bespoke health care from both a student practitioner and myself - a fully qualified herbalist with 12+ years experience in clinical practice for a large reduction in the cost. Appointments can be both online and in person. In the room or video call with you will be the student practitioner, myself and up to 2 other students. Hey! It’s about time I introduced myself to you all properly. My name is Sarah and I am a Medical Herbalist and Women’s Health Expert. I have a BSc in Herbal Medicine and I’m a member of NIMH

I’ve been in practice for over 10 years and specialising in women’s health and fertility for over 7 years. I see patients 1:1 online and in person in a clinic in Putney, London. I am also a resident herbalist at alongside .farren

I see a lot of women with diagnosed conditions such as PCOS, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, PMS, PMDD etc. Or they may not have received a diagnosis but are experiencing symptoms such as irregular menstrual cycles, painful periods, heavy bleeding, hormonal acne, hormonal migraines etc.

I also see women and couples who are on a fertility journey - hoping to conceive naturally or thinking about having IVF or other fertility treatment.

✨“I am quiet in my own authority” ✨

Sat in a seminar room in my final year of university, just entering my 20s, I took part in a taste based plant meditation of the plant Codonopsis pilosula.

Codonopsis pilosula or Dang Shen is an adaptogenic herb. Adaptogens help the body respond to stress in a more efficient way. Naturally, stressors can come in many torms,
so too can our response to them. I often prescribe it with this affirmation. It reminded me so much of the embers of a glowing fire.
And an evening I spent with some dear friends in the woods and a gypsy caravan. I spent almost the entire evening in silence, which was quite uncommon for me!

So much of my 20's I spent using my voice as loud and as often as possible, usually to argue back, probably because my younger years were spent feeling like I had no voice at all.

Now, in my 30's I feel this stage of my life is all about knowing when to not use my voice and to just hold what I know and feel inside me.
It's a quieter strength I'm finding.

Like the embers of a fire, when the roaring flames have fallen away.

Hello, who are you?

I love this time of year and the weeks leading up to it. The magnolia starts out with tight, furry buds holding so much promise. You can feel the energy each bud holds waiting, just waiting to bloom! And then one day, you walk past the tree you walk past almost every day and you see that one of them has broken free and flowered! And then more and more open and you spot magnolia trees in places you didn’t realise they grew! Suddenly they are everywhere. And oh the smell! Some a more heavily scented than others and there’s an excitement before you poke your nose in an open flower, I wonder how much it will wash over me?! Mmm hmm hmm!!

It’s quite fitting that it buds early in the year as the buds are used to treat things like hayfever, blocked nose and sinusitis. And all the symptoms that come with that, headaches and sore throats to name a few!
