Our experts at London S***m Bank have got you covered ✅

All of our donors are UK based, which is important because it means we have to comply with the HFEA’s strict rules and regulations for donor conception:

🔷 All of our donors have to be rigorously screened for STIs and genetic diseases

• By UK law we have to screen our donors thoroughly, and even quarantine the s***m for 3-6 months and then test our donors again to make sure they haven’t developed a transmittable disease.

🔷 All of our donors have a 10 family limit

• We monitor all donor treatment outcomes and distributions to licensed UK clinics using our state of the art tracking system to ensure that the donor does not go over the 10 family limit.

🔷 S***m can be stored for up to 55 years

• This ensures that there is ample time to use samples in treatment

Some countries don’t have these strict regulations, meaning that if you buy from overseas, there’s a possibility that these ethical practices won’t be in place.

In 2022, UK law changed to allow s***m to be frozen for up to 55 years - a major shift from the previous 10 year limit.
