🌱 SportWorks London Borough of Southwark – Short Breaks Programme 🌱

The children had a great time on Saturday during our Short Breaks programme in Southwark. The programme gives children and young people with SEND the chance to enjoy fun, meaningful activities in a supportive environment 💙

Activities like gardening offer so many benefits for children with SEND, including:

✅ Improving physical coordination and motor skills
✅ Supporting emotional wellbeing and reducing anxiety
✅ Encouraging communication, teamwork and social interaction
✅ Building confidence, independence and a sense of achievement
✅ Connecting with nature and learning new life skills

Our sessions are designed to be inclusive, engaging and child-centred, helping every young person thrive 🌼

🌟 What a fantastic session on Saturday at our Stoke Aiming High programme! 🌟

The children had an amazing time getting creative — from colouring and painting to enjoying bubbles and sensory play. The room was full of focus, joy, and festive fun!

Activities like these are especially important for children with SEND, helping to build confidence, develop fine motor skills, encourage self-expression, and create a calm, supportive space where they can thrive at their own pace. 💛

🌟 London Borough of Southwark Saturday Session – Older Group Highlights! 🌟

Our older group had an amazing time this weekend using reaction lights to explore rhythm, coordination, and mathematical thinking through movement! 🎶✨

From pattern-building to timing challenges, the group worked together to develop problem-solving skills, boost confidence, and have plenty of fun along the way. 🙌💡
