One of My Fav Mantra to Chant is
"Avalokiteshwara"
I like to Chant Hindu , Sikh , Buddhist, Christian, Native American, anything and Every religion if you are religious.
To me all is Love and Love is All !!
Why do I chant ? It's fun and it's play and I like to feel where in my body is each word resonating.
Meditation is Play for me most times unless I am really serious which I am usually never , then I sit down quietly to observe my thoughts!
The mantra’s six syllables, which from left to right are: Om Ma Ni Pa Dme Hum.
Mani means jewel, while Padme means lotus. Hum, like Om, has no conceptual meaning.
Overall, the mantra is suggestive of the bringing together of the qualities of wisdom (the lotus) and compassion (the jewel).
Just as the lotus can exist in muddy water without being soiled, so wisdom can exist in an impure world without becoming contaminated !
