North London Hospice Every year North London Hospice provides specialist end-of-life support to more than 3,500 patients

North London Hospice is a registered charity that has been caring for local people since 1984. We help those with a potentially life-limiting illness who have specialist needs. We welcome people from all faiths and communities within the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey offering physical, emotional and spiritual care. We are now also able to offer some of our services to people within Camden and Islington.

A huge well done and thank you to our fantastic corporate supporters, London Energy, who laced up their trainers for the Battersea Park Half Marathon on Saturday 18 October in support of the hospice.

London Energy shared “As you know, North London Hospice is now LondonEnergy’s chosen charity. We are excited about the partnership and keen to offer our employees ways to engage in important work at the hospice.”

The team of 12 runners took on the challenge and raised an incredible £6,374, boosted even further with London Energy fund matching £2,750!

Last week, we were delighted to receive boxes upon boxes of pizza for our staff and volunteers, from the family of a recent patient.

As part of the Hindu tradition of Terahvin, everyone was invited to share the lunch, which was gifted by Dinta, Dipali and their family.

The family shared “Wednesday is the 13th day since our mum’s passing, a day we believe her soul leaves for the greater good. We know she would want you all to mark this day together, to enjoy a feast, and to feel appreciated. Please accept the pizzas with our love and gratitude and know that our mum will be smiling at you all.”

A very big thank you to all the family for this wonderful, kind gesture 💙

Happy Valentine's Day from North London Hospice. This Valentine's Day, we warmly invite you to remember and honour a special someone by dedicating one of our decorative hearts in their memory. ❤️

The name of your special person will then be handwritten on a wooden heart and tied with a red ribbon to our Remembrance Tree sculpture in the courtyard garden at the hospice on Woodside Avenue, in celebration of the special people in our lives.

All the hearts will be on display until Wednesday 25 February.

Big Fun Craft is back! 🧶🪡🧵This March, we’re inviting you to knit, sew, or crochet every day to raise vital funds for North London Hospice.

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out, everyone can take part! All we ask is that you dedicate one hour each day in March to crafting and get sponsored for your efforts.

This year’s theme is Compassion in Bloom, think florals, blossoms and springtime designs. Craft items that represent what’s at the heart of hospice care - compassion, connection, dignity and the small, meaningful moments that bring comfort and joy. This could be inspired by nature, relationships, quiet strength, or anything that feels important to you.

“I’ve been doing this walk for nearly 8 years now. I really enjoy it, there’s quite a lot of fun, every year I look forward to it. I do it in memory of my mum and dad, they are not here unfortunately, but I cherish the day in their memory.”

“I’m back here again for the North London Hospice walk. I love coming here every year, it’s about raising awareness and raising funds for charity, and it’s about meeting people. I have lots of my friends coming today and we’re going to walk together.”

“This is my first time doing the Big Fun Walk, it’s been absolutely incredible, and as you can see these two very special people have been walking this journey with me. I’m a huge supporter of North London Hospice, always have been, it’s an incredible place, and a huge congratulations to everyone who has taken part.”

Big Fun Walk 2026 is a chance to honour the memories of those you love, while giving others the gift of support, comfort and peace when they need it most.

We provide specialist end-of-life care, free of charge, to people living in the London boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey both within the Hospice and in their own homes.

It costs over £10 million to run the Hospice for a year. The NHS only funds 40% of this which is why we need your support to help us meet the remaining 60%.
