Yesterday some of our 17th Holborn leaders had an exciting visit to GOSH Charity HQ!

2017 marked 60 years of the 17th Holborn Guide + Scout Group. To mark this occasion, the Neverland Badge was created where local Girlguides & Scouts could complete challenges to earn the badge. All profits from the badge have been waiting to be donated to GOSH, and yesterday we finally did it!

Our Neverland badge raised £4,815.67 which has all been donated to the GOSH Charity to continue supporting the groundbreaking work done at GOSH.

All of us at 17th Holborn are incredibly proud of their achievement, and none of it would have been possible without the help and support of the young people and families who support our group by attending meetings,completing activities and telling others about us! We hope everyone had a restful festive period and happy new year - here’s to more 17th Holborn adventures! But first, let’s look back on our final meeting of 2025…

Santa made an early stop on 20th Dec ‘25 at our final meeting of the year to help our Scouts & Girlguides earn their ‘holidays around the world’ badge! We explored different ways people celebrate the holidays across the world.

We made whirling dervishes, played Dreidel, created Kwanzaa table mats and Kinaras and made Yule log decorations - a very busy festive meeting! 🎄 🤩 Girlguiding The Scouts

Today is the day… our festive challenge badge!

We’re really looking forward to seeing lots of you in The Cove today for our final meeting of 2025! We will have a special visit from Santa who will be awarding the first 20 festive badges event today!

Throwback to our last meeting on 15th November! We continued to work on our DIY & construction badges! One of our members even came down in their Rainbow uniform - extra shout out to her!

Happy World Kindness Day!
Why not practice & learn kindness by meeting us at 17th Holborn this Saturday. Scouting & Guiding teaches children how to be kind, respectful of others & their environment and helps their members develop new skills.

This month, we are continuing to work on our DIY & construction badges, whilst adding in the Mechanic badge for our members who were with us last month. See you all there! 🧱🚗🔧

We had a fabulous time doing the Construction / DIY badges today 🚧 ! We found lots of different materials 🧱 and thought about what we could make with them, practiced using hammers 🔨 and screwdrivers 🪛 (with PPE 🥽 of course!) and making sturdy structures with playing cards🃏!

Thank you to all the children who came and spent time with us in The Cove … we had lots of fun & hope you all did too! Looking forward to seeing more children at our meeting next month!

We’re back to Scouting & Guiding about at GOSH!

After a break during COVID (boo!) we are so glad to say we’re back up & running our Scout & Guide sessions at GOSH!
