Reuben Amissah - An Extraordinary Journey Back

In 2023, young professional footballer Reuben Amissah suffered an injury that would test not just his body, but his resilience and determination in equal measure.

What began as an ongoing issue quickly revealed itself to be far more complex than first anticipated.. At just 17 years old, Reuben was referred to Professor James Calder at Fortius Clinic and faced one of the most challenging diagnoses a young athlete can receive.

The road to recovery was anything but straightforward. Ten months. Countless hours of rehabilitation. An injury as unusual in its nature as it was serious in its severity.

But Reuben's story is one of courage, patience and an unwavering belief in what lies ahead. 💙

The Fortius Golf Day returned in full swing for a fantastic day at The Grove, marking a long-awaited comeback for our cherished team tradition. ⛳️

After a hiatus following the pandemic, this event finally made the comeback, providing a wonderful opportunity for our consultants and non-clinical staff to trade their desks for the fairways. It was a brilliant day of connection and high-spirited competition!

Despite a misty start and a very wet winter, the rain stayed away for 18 holes of competitive golf. The day began with a hearty breakfast and concluded with an excellent carvery, where the room was filled with laughter and stories of impressive birdies.

We are thrilled to have this tradition back on the calendar and to see our team enjoying some well-deserved time together outside of the clinic.
