Nine days of ski touring in the Bernese Oberland, seven months after a knee replacement. That is the kind of message that makes what we do worthwhile.

Fergus had his robotic knee replacement with Mr. David Houlihan-Burne last September. By April he was completing one of the most demanding ski touring routes in the Alps, allowing him to turn comfortably, press into his knee and walk downhill without a second thought.

But you do not have to be heading for the mountains to understand what that means. Getting through a day without pain. Keeping up with the grandchildren. Doing the things you have been quietly avoiding. That is what this is really about.

Progressive joint and musculoskeletal conditions do not tend to get better with time. Left untreated, they typically worsen, making recovery harder and full function less likely.

Stop wondering. Get an answer this summer.

The timing makes more sense than most people think. Diaries are quieter, family are around to help, and a procedure this summer means recovery is largely complete before the year gets busy again. For those with ski season in mind, October to March is well within reach. For everyone else, it simply means getting your life back before Christmas.

Every month you wait is another month living with something that does not have to be permanent.

Recover this summer. Get your life back.

See the best. Be your best.
