Thinking back to visiting and honestly… I CANNOT WAIT to be back there this summer for my women-only retreat 🫶

Think: infinity pool views, lazy hammock moments, tucked high up in the Portuguese hills, sauna sessions, massages, energising Yogalates, deeply resting yin, and the most nourishing food.

Feeling frustrated with your body? My Yogalates sessions are all about working with your body. Not against it!

We combine:

✔️Pilates-style strength, tone & flexibility
✔️Deep breathing & slow stretching
✔️Props, bands & balls for support & controlled strength
✔️Time at the end to lie down and do absolutely nothing

Lately, therapy has been helping me explore what it truly means to be authentic… in friendships, partnerships, and even in the classroom.

I’m learning more about showing up for myself, setting boundaries, and honoring my own needs while being present for others. It’s hard work! 😜

In the classroom, whether teaching or learning, what moments make you feel most connected? I’d love to hear. 💛

Remember, progress isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency, patience, and self-kindness: the small steps we take each day matter more than we realise.

My Yogalates teacher trainees and I had a great time this weekend on Zoom getting stuck into core anatomy! 🍎🤓

Here’s a clip from the workshop (apologies for the terrible quality… new camera coming soon!).

KEY TAKEAWAY: Gripping your abdominals and pelvic floor restricts free movement of the diaphragm, which compromises intra-abdominal pressure and effective core stability.

For my new followers HELLO! 👋 if you don’t know me I’m Beth, founder of Yogalates London. I teach Yogalates, Yin & Hatha yoga and love my life in kooky, warm, wonderful Surbiton in Greater London. 🏡

Former actor, gluten-free foodie, book lover, choir singer, culture vulture… I also love throwing shapes on the dancefloor (or in my living room for that matter!) 🪩💃🏼

I’m passionate about helping women feel stronger in their bodies, encouraging freedom of movement and ease in body, mind, spirit. I also LOVE supporting women 40+ in feeling confident using resistance for healthy muscles, bones and joints.

Throwback to my recent retreat reccie where I found a hidden gem nearby where we’ll be staying this summer.

A secluded spot for a swim that felt like liberation in its purest form. No one around, just the heat on my skin and the water cooling me down. 💦

I’ve got announcement… 📣 I know guests were wondering about this year’s sauna situation & I’m thrilled to announce has confirmed for May’s coastal retreat.

Last year’s retreat sauna went down swimmingly…
Cold water tubs were braved, sea dips were taken and nervous systems were reset. 🥳

I stepped outside yesterday and just stood there for ages, letting the sun warm my face like some like an animal that’s been cooped up far too long, finally remembering what light feels like!

Who else has been finding the constant rain and greyness a struggle? 🙃

If so, go small. 5–10 minutes totally counts. Doorstep breathing is valid!
