Earlier Monday our email system was hacked and spam was sent to patient's of our clinic. Subject line was Court Ruling. Email content was Kindly view Attached Court Ruling Document and a link was attached.

We wish to inform you that this is not a legitimate email, but a phishing scheme. Please do not follow any link. Mark the email as spam to assist your email provider or delete the email.

We are working with our email provider who partner with Microsoft, to stop any further emails being sent.

We wish to reassure you that no patient medical or financial data is affected. We securely store all patient data separately in our secure medical record system and none of that information was accessed or shared.

Unfortunately this was a common type of email hacking known as "email Spoofing". Email spoofing is when an email's identifying fields, such as the From, Return-Path and Reply-To addresses are modified to appear to be from someone other than the actual sender.

We apologise for any confusion or concern this may have caused and thank you for your understanding.
