Last week I was treated to a facial and honestly… pure bliss. As someone who’s constantly balancing Pilates and motherhood, that hour of care was deeply needed. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and just the right pressure to literally iron out my frown lines!

I learnt so much about how the right cleansers, creams and how simple facial massage techniques can promote healthy skin & overall wellbeing. It was a gentle reminder of how important it is to look after ourselves — and to actually make time for it. (Cliche I know, but it’s true!) Allowing your muscles in your face and body to soften and relax is so very restorative and just as important as strengthening & stretching them.

I’ve now scheduled a fortnightly massage for myself. ✔️

✅ Mobility allows joints to move through a full, functional range.
When you combine them:
You move more efficiently
You reduce injury risk
You perform better in daily life and athletics
You maintain long-term joint health and flexibility
In other words:
Strong muscles with stiff joints still limit your potential — and hypermobile joints without muscle support are unstable.

First photo is of all the men that joined me for last nights class (other photos are all the previous sessions over the years) ▪️▪️My all-men Pilates class is a session focusing on improving core strength, flexibility, posture, balance and control. We did lots of stretches in particular for hamstrings, hips, lower back and shoulders. Absolutely no experience needed. There’s also a supportive and light hearted atmosphere. And the guys always leave sweating more than expected and walking taller - literally! Always a joy
