Welcome to Darren Tickle, where I teach lineage Pilates, either in my home studio, virtually or at your home and so fit within your free time. I will get you to engage and strengthen your core, waist and lower back muscles, and help to improve your posture and prevent injury. Also I will work with you to tailor a program that is innovative, intense and a highly effective full-body workout designed to give you a lean and more toned muscles. If you have a hard time sticking with a regularly-scheduled class, Pilates at home may be best for you. I also offer online virtual classes and video on demand so you can truly take your Pilates practice to another level and fit within your time schedule.

RELEASE TENSION IN YOUR HANDS

Did you know that Pilates, doesn’t just strengthen your core, but can also do amazing things for your most overworked and under appreciated body part, yes your hands.

With regularly practice you can improve your grip strength, eliminate arthritis, pain and do all the things you love without thinking about your hands.

Pilates can help improve your wrist and hand strength and your mobility and can help decompress your wrists that will help to reduce inflammation.

You will discover a world of power, strength and connection you had no idea you were missing out on.

‪LEARNING THE MAT WORK - THE CRAB‬

The main purpose of the the crab is to stretch the neck, lower back and develop stabilisation around the trunk.

This exercise can appear uncomfortable, which is why I don’t teach it all the time in my mat classes, because it involves leaning forward onto the head and weight transferring into the neck.

This exercise can be enjoyable and beneficial when done correctly and with control. As you would expect this exercise also work the abdominal muscle in a new way.

Over time I have come to love this exercise and can see the reason for doing this, but always with control and precision. As you get to learn the full Pilates method you can see the benefits of this exercise an see what other exercises on other pieces of equipment helps you to achieve this movement.

COMING SOON - VIRTUAL PILATES CLASSES

Join me every Tuesday morning at 07:30am for a energising mat flow class, this is perfect if you are working from home and just need to get yourself set for the day ahead.

This full 45 minute class is suitable for all level and will be delivered via zoom, All you will need is a mat and some light hand weights (or tins of beans).

We will get in some strength movements along with some stretches, with the aim to work your whole body, improve your posture, perhaps even feel happier and your body will thank you for taking part.
