Have you ever re-accessed your success?? 👀

Yes, I preach about strength training and correct running structure, but my first marathon block wasn’t something I did on my own!

I had people who kept me going when the training felt rough, when I questioned why I signed up in the first place, and didn’t want to carry on!

And sometimes you’re so lost in your training bubble you forget to even consider it all!

And that’s exactly why I coach the way I do now!
Not just giving sessions, and giving advice… but actually supporting people through it, being in your corner when life throws a curveball!

Because the running can be the easy part, it’s everything around it that makes you quit or carry on!

Good people make you better!
Simple as that

Standing on the start line of my first marathon in the Lake District, I remember thinking: “This actually wouldn’t be possible without strength training.”

The hills, the distance, the patience, and purpose it takes to get there is tough, but the feeling of confidence (and a little nerves) at the start line was unmatched! All of it felt possible because my body was stronger, more resilient, and ready to carry me further than it ever had before!

Marathon training blocks are tough, especially first time round! Week after week you’re probably achieving a distance PB, so if your legs and body can’t handle that, you’re going to hit a sticking point!

Strength training didn’t just help me get a time I’m proud of… it made the whole process feel sustainable, and manageable!

Most of the time, less running + more strength, will result in more progress!
