This is the advice and coaching I give when my clients say these things:

You may think you’re permanently damaged after a toxic relationship where your needs just weren’t considered at all or even worse, you were emotionally trampled on by an ex.

You may feel right now that it’s too difficult or painful to try again in love.

But let me tell you that your past doesn’t define your future and you can intentionally choose a better standard of relationship for yourself!

🌟 Your past experiences may have shaped you, but they don’t determine your future.

You can take control and ‘rewrite’ your future love story.

Every chapter of your life is a chance for growth, change and healing.

Remember these truths:

🩷It’s understandable to feel this way after what you’ve been through. Healing takes time.

✅Remember, your past doesn’t define your future. You have the power to change your story.

🩷It’s okay to take small steps towards trusting again. You don’t have to rush into anything.

✅Many people have felt the same way after toxic relationships, but with support and self-reflection, you can find healthy love.

Change begins with awareness.

Once you recognize that certain beliefs (like “I’m not good enough for love” or “Love always ends in pain”) are affecting your relationships, you can begin to rewire them.

Tools like RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) and hypnosis are powerful ways to access the subconscious mind and shift these deep-seated beliefs at their core. RTT allows you to uncover the root cause of the block—often stemming from childhood or past emotional wounds—so you can heal it directly. I use these tools in my 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨!!

Here’s how the process works:

1. Identify the love block: Through a guided RTT session, we explore where the belief was formed and why it took hold. This could be based on past rejections, parental relationships, or emotional pain you experienced growing up.

2. Reframe the belief: Once we’ve identified the origin, we work to reframe the belief. For example, if you’ve always felt like you’re not worthy of love, we’ll replace that with a new, empowering belief like “I am lovable and deserving of healthy, fulfilling love.”

3. Reprogram your subconscious: Using hypnosis, we reinforce the new, positive belief at a subconscious level. Over time, as your subconscious mind shifts, you’ll notice that you begin to show up differently in relationships.

You’ll attract partners who reflect your new sense of worth and no longer feel drawn to unhealthy patterns.

By healing your love blocks, you open the door to aligned, healthy love. It allows you to release the fear, insecurity, or emotional baggage that’s been holding you back—so you can step into the kind of relationship you truly desire.

Overcoming the Belief That 'Love Hurts'

Have you ever thought, "Love always ends in pain"? and “Its just not worth putting myself out there again.” ❓

The belief that love hurts can be deeply ingrained, often as a result of past heartbreak, betrayal, or witnessing unhealthy relationships growing up.

When you carry this belief, it can cause you to approach love with your guard up, expecting the worst to happen.

You may be afraid to fully open up, trust, or be vulnerable in relationships, which makes true intimacy and connection hard to achieve.

This limiting belief might cause you to:

* Think: "I can't trust anyone," "Love is dangerous," or "It’s only a matter of time before this ends badly."

* Feel: Constant anxiety, fear of being hurt, or a sense of unease in even healthy relationships.

* Do: Push away partners when things get serious, self-sabotage when love starts to deepen, or settle for relationships where you’re always on edge.

* Put up with: Toxic or unfulfilling relationships because you’ve come to believe that love is supposed to be painful, or you might avoid commitment altogether to protect yourself from future heartache.

Any hurdles you face on a Monday may seem higher and harder to jump.

Monday is better than a new day, though. It’s a new week.

This is a fresh opportunity to make your own ending.

And it starts with your mindset.

Our thoughts affect how we feel.

Our feelings/emotions drive our actions and behaviours and habits.

Obviously our results and the tangible outcome in our lives are because of the actions we take (or don't take) on a daily basis.

So today on Monday let me ask you:

❓What actions do you need to take today that will get you closer to a result you want?

❓What emotions do you need to have to make these actions easier to take? How do you want to feel today?

❓And what thought would allow you to feel that way?

If you get into a habit daily or weekly of asking yourself these questions, I can guarantee that your life will change ❤️😍

You're in control of this. You can be intentional with the thoughts you think that start of the chain of events; thoughts➡️ feelings➡️ actions➡️ results!

What to do if you suspect you may be being primed for manipulation later. This sounds harsh, but it's what happens. Believe me I've seen it, been there, got the t shirt. 😒

1) Do not ignore these sort of comments, brush them off or let them go more than once or twice at the most.

2) Mention that you feel uncomfortable when your partner says/said 'x'. Say why it makes/made you feel uncomfortable, how you experienced the comment.

3) Watch the reaction as this will tell you a lot! If you calling this out, is met with comments like;" You're being oversensitive." or your partner reacts defensively or brushes it off with humour, all not good reactions. If on the other hand they listen, apologise and make an effort to change, this is a good sign.

Reasons we may stay in a bad relationship too long ⬇️

Our emotions and our need for love (which is a basic human need) can lead to us staying in unhealthy relationships for longer than we should.

Here are some of the reasons we may ignore or justify bad behaviour:

➡️ Fear of loneliness. This is a common fear and can lead to us staying and actually feeling much worse than if we were alone.

➡️ Low self-esteem. We may feel like this is the best we’re going to get. This is often an unconscious core wound of believing we’re not enough.

➡️ Sunk cost fallacy. The more we’ve invested (time and effort) into a relationship, the harder it can be to walk away.

➡️ Manipulation and gaslighting. This is when a partner has us confused and second guessing ourselves. Plus we may blame ourselves for what’s going on and feel guilt or shame and question whether our needs and emotions are valid.

How to break free?

🤝 Seek support- one of the common signs of a toxic relationship is allowing ourselves to be isolated from others.

One of the best things that helped me get out of previous bad relationships was swallowing my pride and confiding in others (trusted friends, family members or with a therapist).

✅ 💪🏼 Establishing boundaries is another important thing. Speaking up for what you need and what is healthy for you is a skill to be practiced. It can feel really uncomfortable and scary to do this. But staying silent is worse.

If you communicate with a partner and they make you doubt yourself or consistently ignore what you’ve asked for, it’s definitely time to take some space.

✅ And lastly self awareness is crucial. When you take space you can get super clear on your own needs, values and boundaries.

This awareness lays the foundations for recognising red 🚩flags in the relationships and course correcting quicker!
