Love Play Grow Do

Love Play Grow Do I have been practicing Yoga for about 17 years and began to practice Anusara Yoga and learn about Tantric Philosophy in 2006.

Play Grow Do began in 2010 and established a community group in 2024 with the aim of supporting the delivery of the grassroots project Communi-tea, focusing on creative health, wellbeing, and social connection for those most vulnerable to isolation. For the past 5 years my study and practice has got deeper and my decision to train as a teacher proved challenging and empowering. I worked for years as a freelance artist using film and photography to engage with people and document the exchange. These days I get deep satisfaction from connection with the earth from nurturing plants (trees, flowers and vegetables) and gardening work in the community, private clients and on my own allotment in East London. I am passionate and devoted to developing community projects particularly in areas and communities where there is not enough.

Afternoon Restorative Yoga Practice Returns with David Nkrumah!
We are thrilled to announce the return of Sunday afternoon Restorative Yoga sessions, featuring the extraordinary David Nkrumah! As a renowned sound therapist and musician, David brings a unique and transformative touch to our practice that you won’t want to miss.
Join us for a **Flow session sound bath**, which is more than just —it’s a “musical journey exploring healing through frequencies.” For those who haven’t yet experienced sound therapy, David describes it best: “To me, it’s just a guided meditation through sound. You might find yourself at a festival or rave, completely unaware that you’ve stepped into a guided meditation through sound.” David is a master in this realm, and his sessions are not to be missed.
This time, we’re collaborating to deepen your experience with gentle, guided restorative yoga by Jessica Green to light the way as you journey through sound. Don’t miss this opportunity to transform your afternoon with David’s creative expertise and soothing sounds.

The garden at the Horniman Museum used to have a standard municipale planting but this kind scheme is not sustainable so head gardener and team switched it up to make a beautiful drought resistant garden with a huge amount of self seeding plants and grasses that are well loved by insects and birds so also increasing biodiversity levels… amazing future proofing for our city.

Here I am in my favourite form of rest, post early morning sea swim, beach scavenging and plastic collecting.
It is not stillness but requires me to stop and settle into a gentle rhythm that comes very naturally to me by the sea.

As we tip into early Autumn light levels. Sunrises return so we can wake comfortably at dawn. I love this.

Restorative Yoga starts to get cosy with cooler mornings, extra blankets, warm layers, easy poses, soft breath and so much support, this is a practice of deep rest.

This extended Yoga class  is a comfortable, accessible and potentially quite healing practice.

I offer a supportive and subtle space as I lead this slow and rest-full, beautiful practice that makes time to reset, recover, to focus on the experience within and allows your body to move in a gentle and hopefully theraputic way. Suitable for almost every-body, ability and brain.

Very limited space. Advanced booking essential.
