Why you should not judge your facelift results from one photo 📸❌...

I’ve just come back from a brilliant facelift conference in New York, and one thing came up again and again... patients fixating on one unflattering photo.

I get it... we’re surrounded by images 24/7, and it’s easy to zero in on the worst one.

But here's the truth... if you show me that photo and say, “Look how bad this looks,” most of the time… I don’t see it in real life. It’s just lighting, timing, or a weird angle 💇‍♂️✨

We all have those “burning car on the motorway” moments that stick in our heads... but one photo isn’t the whole picture.

Facelift results are about how you move, feel, and live every day... not one snapshot. Give yourself grace. You’re not a still image… you’re a moving masterpiece 💫

Mini facelift left you with pixie ears or thick scars? You’re not imagining it 👂💥

A lot of “mini” lifts pull just the skin, not the deeper layers... which drags the earlobe down and stretches the scar. That pressure is what causes pixie ear and those wide, angry scars.

The fix? Go deeper. A proper deep plane lift works on the structure underneath, like lifting the mattress so the duvet sits smooth. It resets the ear, softens the scar, and actually lasts. If your “mini” didn’t quite deliver, don’t worry... this can be sorted 💪✨

“I was judging myself…” 🤍

And that judgement doesn’t always come from nowhere… sometimes it comes from family… opinions around you 👀

What changed for her wasn’t about looking different. It was about confidence… looking in the mirror and feeling happy again 😊✨

She speaks honestly about her first experience and the confusion around technique. That’s why clarity matters… understanding what’s actually being done changes everything 💭

When we talked about going into the forest… or going deep into the forest 🌲 She knew straight away… if she was doing this again, she wanted to go deep.

Recovery wasn’t perfect… but it was manageable. Bruising could be covered, swelling settled, and she trusted the process 🙏🏻

A year later, she came back just to say thank you 🥹 Because by then… she knew. This was it ✨

Does running make your face age faster?

You’ve heard it before... “runners face.”
That idea that too much running = saggy skin and hollow cheeks.

But here’s the truth... Running doesn’t age your face 🏃‍♀️
What does? Overexposure to sun, dehydration, and sudden fat loss.

If you’re pounding the pavement daily without sun protection or support for your skin, that’s where the trouble starts. Not the run itself 💨

“I could go out without a scrap of makeup… and feel fine.” 🤍

That’s always the goal... not to take anything away… but to give people the option to just be themselves 😌

Enjoying makeup. Enjoying fashion. But not feeling like you have to rely on either of them every day ✨

My aim has always been a natural appearance. Subtle results. Scars that are discreet... and outcomes without the telltale signs of facelift surgery 🙏🏻

You should look like you… just rested, comfortable, and confident again 💭

If this resonates, I share how I approach this in much more detail in my Facelift webinar.

I run it once a month, and it’s a space to learn, ask questions, and really understand your options 🤍

If it feels right for you, the link is in my bio… and I’ll see you on the webinar 😊

“Why would you have a facelift again?”...

For some patients, the first surgery works well initially. But over time, certain areas can return. Not because anything was done wrong, but because faces continue to age, and different techniques behave differently long term 😌

What mattered most here wasn’t just the procedure... it was trust 🤍

We had already worked together on her lip lift. She felt listened to, felt safe, and felt confident in the outcome 🙏🏻

Revision surgery isn’t about chasing perfection... it’s about understanding why something changed, and choosing a thoughtful, appropriate way forward, at the right time, with the right surgeon ✨

If this is something you’ve quietly been wondering about, you’re not alone. Take your time, do your research, and ask questions 💭

Can you get a full face rejuvenation without anyone knowing? 100% 😎✨

When done right, no one should notice you’ve had surgery. You’ll just look refreshed. As Dr Rosenberg said, “You only see the bad results.” Good work? It flies under the radar... just like Marilyn Monroe’s nose job.

The goal? You and I know. No one else should. A short downtime, then you're back... natural, balanced, and quietly confident 🫶

Where’s the neck lift incision during a facelift? 👀

Quick answer... hidden in plain sight.

It starts in front of the ear, dips behind that little flap (the tragus), curves under the earlobe, and tucks neatly into the hairline. That one discreet route lets us lift the neck, trim the extra, and close it all with no tension... smooth, clean, natural 💫

But here’s the bit most people miss… It’s not just skin. We go under the platysma, the muscle layer, to do the real work. That’s what gives you the definition and lift that actually lasts. And yes, sometimes there’s a small under-chin incision too, but that’s a whole other story 👌🧠

What are the vectors in a face and neck lift? Let’s break it down... 🤔✂️

Gravity pulls everything down... so during a lift, we go up and out... not just straight up. Most of the magic happens at 45 - 60° angles 💫

That’s how we restore structure and reverse the inward drop of ageing. Even with a brow lift, we’re aiming to open things up, not just hoist them skyward ⬆️✨

For the neck, the lift is more horizontal... following the jawline and moving back. As we move higher on the face, that vector shifts more vertical and diagonal. Every move is deliberate... we’re not just lifting, we’re sculpting ✨📐

Thinking about a facelift?... here’s one key thing to try before you go under the knife 🤔🧠

Before you commit to surgery, proper facelift preparation is essential for lasting, natural results.

I always tell my patients... get your skin in top shape first.

Why? Because your face is more than just skin-deep...

✨ Optimise your skincare routine.
✨ Address any sun damage.
✨ Restore hydration and collagen.

Doing this not only boosts your healing but helps the facelift look even more natural... consult your surgeon AND a trusted skincare expert.

Together, they can tailor a pre-facelift regimen that strengthens your skin and maximises surgical outcomes👍
