Ferah Samji

My journey with yoga began in 1997, sparked by my own experience of healing from back pain. Over six years, yoga became not just a tool for physical relief, but a path of transformation. This personal evolution led me to teaching—driven by the desire to share what had changed my life.

For many years, I’ve been guiding others through Meditation, Mindfulness, and Breathwork, integrating insights from Neuroscience, Phytotherapy, Aromatherapy, and holistic healing methods such as Ho’oponopono, Theta Healing, Family Constellation, and Coaching (Life, Health, and Breath). Astrology has also been a deep passion, one I’ve been studying for the past 8 years.

My teaching blends traditional yogic wisdom with a contemporary, fluid approach. I guide students through breath, asana, and meditation—encouraging joy, presence, and inner spaciousness. I believe life is a constant invitation to surrender, grow, and evolve beyond ego.

Motherhood has been the grounding foundation of my life, and I feel immense gratitude for the chance to serve others on their journey. If I can bring light to even one soul, I am fulfilled.

Teacher feature- Laura Calmonson
Laura has been practicing yoga for over 15 years. Through every high and low, especially the hard times, yoga has always been her anchor. It helps her manage pain, find peace, and reconnect with herself through breath and movement.

As a mother of two young children, she knows how overwhelming life can be. Yoga is her sanctuary, and she brings that same sense of calm and grounding to her classes.

Laura believes yoga is for everyone. Her teaching is rooted in alignment, presence, and gentle guidance. She also likes to offer adjustments to help students experience the full depth and intention of each posture.

After completing her training at Black Lotus Studio, she discovered a deeper strength and stillness that continues to shape both her life and her teaching. She loves every minute she spends on the mat, whether practicing or teaching and feels deeply grateful to share the healing power of yoga with others.

She teaches “Yin Yoga Flow” on Wednesday nights at 6:15 PM starting with a slow Vinyasa flow and ending with calming Yin poses held for longer to release and restore.
Laura looks forward to welcoming you on the mat just as you are, ready to move, breathe, and find a little more space within ✨🙌🏻🧘🏼‍♀️
