The nails need to be out of the side gaps, sulcus and not like the previous picture.
A good way to prevent the accumulation of dead skin and fluff in the sim is is to brush it after shower or after a soak with tooth brush, the handle helps not to have to bend down too much, great for those with back problems, and the bristles and small head of the tooth’s brush makes it easier for removal of accumulation of skin and fluff in the sulci.

Ingrowing toenail, how not to cut your nails.
The nails should always be cut straight across and never shorter than the gap at the sides (sulco). Observe how the right side is correctly while the left side is too short and piercing the skin.
