Nourishment beyond food ❤️

Sometimes, nourishment looks like wild sea air, slow mornings with family, and sun warmed vegetables straight from the market.

As a nutritionist and health coach, I talk a lot about what we est, but it’s how we live that brings it all together.

At the moment I’m slowing down and letting myself be nourished by simplicity, beauty and presence.

A little reminder that our wellbeing isn’t built just in the kitchen or the gym, but in moments like this.

In every supermarket the shelves are overflowing with “ Mother’s day treats” - crappy chocolate, sugar loaded sweets, and ultra processed “ indulgences “ wrapped in pink pretty packaging.

Seriously?

We’re celebrating mums by giving them a sugar crash, an energy dip and possibly a headache in a fancy box?

Let’s rethink what a real treat looks like!

❤️ A massage or Spa voucher
❤️A lovely herbal tea set/ a fancy teapot or matcha set
❤️A yoga/ Pilates/Meditation class
❤️Some high quality dark chocolate
❤️A wellness hamper with some essential oils, a lovely chemical free candle and a good book
❤️Quality time together to go for a walk in nature, have a manicure or share a nutritious home cooked meal

Happy Pancake day ❤️

Did you know that you can make delicious fluffy pancakes which are also healthy and rich in protein?

I don’t actually have a recipe with the right amounts of ingredients as it was a rushed job this morning 😂
However, I mixed together 1 egg, around a cup of almond flour, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 2 drops of vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of buckwheat flour.

Super quick and delicious!

I don’t like toppings on my pancake- weird I know!- but you could add some nut butter, cinnamon, unsweetened coconut flakes, Greek yogurt or some stewed apples for a completely nutritious and healthy breakfast!

Take me back to Sti Lanka ….where the sun is golden and the coconuts are even better 😅

London’s grey skies and cold temperatures have me dreaming of sunshine, warm air, and sipping fresh coconut water straight from the source 🌴

Did you know that coconut water isn’t just refreshing, it’s packed with electrolytes, potassium and hydration-boosting goodness, making it the perfect drink for hydration and recovery.
