My silly lil behaviour change tip.
Put on the damn aspirational leggings.
Even if the version of yourself that does the thing feels far away right now.
That doesn't mean you can't do things RIGHT NOW that access that version of yourself.
It doesn't mean you can't move towards that person right now.
I restarted running last week after my back injury. And because I recently moved, I'm rebuilding my running routine from scratch.
This is a small step you can take that helps make the decision easier later
✨I put my leggings on at 3pm
✨I had my trackies over them bc I still wanted to be comfortable.
✨I went for my run at 8.30pm after some time negotiating with myself and ultimately winning
✨ The fact that I could get up and go made this run happen
✨ I'm telling you right now there's absolutely no way I would have gone if I wasn't pre-dressed.
Change is hard. Doing something ahead of time helps nudge your future self towards the choice you want to make by making it easier.
It's also just a kind thing to do for
And of course, the aspirational leggings are a placeholder for anything you want to achieve.
So whatever you are trying to achieve, go out on your metaphorical leggings.
