Part 2&3: Tassie & the gold coast.
Family, friends, activities, shenanigans.

And a deep sense of gratitude that I've taken good enough care of my body that it's allowing me to live the life I wanna live. It's also nice to see it doesn't have to be perfect.

There were a few things we wanted to do where we got asked "are you fit?" because some things require base strength and endurance to be able to do safely. it was nice to answer YES without thinking about it.

Sometimes I'm really not motivated to exercise but this trip had me feeling so grateful for all those times I went anyway even when I didn't feel like it in the moment.

I don't wanna be excluded from my own life. As someone who craves a certain level of whimsy, maturing is realising some fun requires a certain level of fitness. A lot of people talk about the independence that being strong gives you. And YES, this. But independence isn't some thing that's only relevant when you're over 65 and want to get off the couch without assistance.

There is cool s**t that you can do right now in your 20s and 30s that will slip from your ability without a certain level of fitness. Being young isn't always enough. And as someone who's getting older it's wild to see how participation or lack of participation in physical activity compounds over time in both directions.

I wanna go indoor skydiving, mountain biking, jet skiing, hiking, bouldering, and play on the beach obstacle courses without having to worry that I won't have the upper body strength to get myself back onto the obstacle course if I fall in the water or spend so much time dying on mountain bikes or hikes that I won't actually enjoy them. I'm grateful I get to be a fun aunty that can still play with the younger ones

I'm also grateful I'm not as a**l about fitness anymore and can actually enjoy a better life balance without getting anxious about eating out or that I've not gone to the gym and have chosen to move my body in other ways. Post diet culture freedom is top tier.

Summer '25 owes me nothing
⛰️climbed mountains
💒 & big Scottish wedding
🥊Got the call-up to represent England
📈 Experienced a GB training camp & met some incredible athletes
🥇 2nd Gold medal at Haringey boxcup
🏡 Bought a house
🕺🏽 Learned lots of fun dances
🧚🏽‍♀️ The most whimsical boxing birthday, with all my friends cosplay'd up to punch me in the face
🏋🏽‍♀️ Lost weight, gained weight, and gained experiences along the way
🎶 Was in my polyjamerous bag: went to hip hop, heavy metal, soca, and house events
🤸🏽‍♀️Training, as always. Sometimes a lot of training, other times very little.
📚 Read lots of books
🥹 Met my nephew for the first time and we went on the London eye
⚖️ won some fights, lost some fights
🌄 soft launched my retirement from boxing but did my medical for the 25-26 szn justttt in case

Thank you to the very talented for capturing these moments.

It was tough beore I stepped into the ring. And it was a tough weekend. Hard fights. Being under the weather, dealing with injuries that were flaring up, and a beautifully timed extra 3 kilos of weight to deal with in the last week, thanks to my cycle 😑👍🏽 But those are the cards I was dealt and I was gonna play the f**k outta the hand I got. Control the controllables.

it was an honour to wear the colours as always and do the club proud 🫡 I can't thank the whole team and the coaches enough. This place is my home and family. My squad mates for punching me in the face in the name if getting better, the amazing coaches in the club and in my corner. Thank you Ray, Bill and JR for your excellent instructions over the comp 🗣🫡
I gotta say a massive thanks to the man behind the scenes who has been working with me for YEARS to get my balance and footwork better I wouldn't have got to this level without your support. You stuck by me through injury and when I was really overweight, and helped me get a second chance at the sport. Never thought I'd get this far ❤️ And a massive thanks to another man behind the scenes who has stuck by me for 10 years through absolutely everything, keeping me sane, always supportive, kind, believing in me more than myself. My best friend. Gerry, I love you (he doesn't like attention or being tagged lol).

Thank you to for the S&C that helped me stay fit, healthy and injury free as possible so I can do my sport. Not easy training someone with a new injury every week but you are always so adaptable as the best coaches are.

Thank you to who has taken me under his wing recently and helped me with some technical stuff.

AND Huge thanks to everyone who came out to support, I could HEAR youse and it made such a difference. I love you all 😭 My heart is so full 🥹 If this truly was my last dance, I'm glad I got to go out with a bang 💣
