Four colleagues from our children’s hospital gave up their time to give life-changing surgery to patients from right across Rwanda.

They also trained teams to be able to carry on the surgery without them – but they got more from the people they met than they gave.

As Hanukkah begins, we reflect on the themes of light, resilience, and hope, while acknowledging with deep sadness the tragic events at Bondi Beach in Sydney this weekend. Our thoughts are with all those affected, and with the emergency services, hospitals and healthcare teams who have been responding.
