Another sign? Or just a coincidence? šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

And THAT šŸ‘†šŸ» is why nothing changes…

I want to be leaner for my holiday so I’ve set a goal to drop 10lbs in 10 weeks

This is what I’m doing:

1ļøāƒ£ Lifting 5x a week
This isn’t new - I’ve built my life around it!

2ļøāƒ£ 70k steps a week
Again this is just my normal.

3ļøāƒ£ 2–3L water a day
Pretty standard - are you seeing the pattern yet? šŸ‘€ Most people skip these basics while looking for hacks.

4ļøāƒ£ 7 hours sleep minimum
Going to bed & waking up at the same time every day (not just on weekdays) changed the game for me.

5ļøāƒ£ Planning social events in advance
I won’t live like a monk - I’ll factor in important events like birthdays etc but my goal will take priority.

6ļøāƒ£ Tracking calories
This is actually the main change! Most of the above are just part of my lifestyle. The only thing that varies, is the amount of calories I eat. Because if you’re not in a calorie deficit… it won’t work. Ironically this is the part most people skip!

Nothing extreme - just the basics, done consistently.

P.S Video was taken a few weeks before my last holiday so that’s my inspiration šŸ’Ŗ

Happy 70th Mum!
She’ll kill me for writing that šŸ˜‚
But that’s 70 years of making this world a better place for everyone single person that has the pleasure of having you in their life.
I will never be able to thank you enough for everything you do for me, Dean & Reggie! But most of all for the unconditional love you show us every single day.
Happy Birthday Mum, looking forward to more celebrations . Love you always Xx

ā€˜I’m trying to get in shape’
ā€˜I’m trying to lose fat’
ā€˜I’m trying to tone up’

I’m going to be brutally honest with you.

You’re not.

You’re not following the plan
You’re not tracking food
You’re not training properly
You completely f*ck it off at weekends

That’s not trying.

That’s convincing yourself that something is better than nothing.

If you try a key in a door & it’s the wrong one, you don’t just keep trying it! You try a different key.

Yet I see so many women doing the same sh*t week in, week out, despite getting no results.

Completely loyal to something that’s not giving them want they want.

Trying isn’t repeating what doesn’t work.
Trying is changing something.

Discipline.

Because if I’m honest, that’s never really been my problem.

I can’t sit and write posts about my best tips to be more disciplined, because it’s just not something I can relate to.

I’d feel like a fraud.

If I say I’m going to do something, I do it.

I’ve always been disciplined.

I’ve always trained.
I’ve always shown up.
I’ve always worked hard.

But for years I was still stuck.

Not because I lacked effort — but because I was putting that effort into the wrong things.

Too much cardio.
Classes and bootcamps.
Trying to ā€œeat healthyā€ without really understanding nutrition.

I was disciplined… just in the wrong direction.

Once I focused that same discipline on lifting weights, prioritising protein and adding some structure to my food, everything changed.

Which is why the women I relate to most are the ones who are already trying.

They train.
They show up.
They care.

They just need the right direction.

Because in my experience…

Discipline isn’t usually the problem.
Direction is.
