For the last five years, Shelley Geraghty has been creating a unique holistic approach to Wellbeing and Health from her studio amongst the colourful awnings and stalls of London’s Portobello Road. Hailing from Australia’s laid-back east coast, Shelley incorporates the mind, body, spirit philosophy in her treatments which can include healing modalities if appropriate. Heads-up to my clients, After winning our AFL (Australian Rules Football) grand final, I’m back to working Saturdays ☀️

It gets super physical playing at times, so one of my favourite things to do is make a Bush Flower Essence for the team each week. For the grand final I made a super potent bottle, The Wildcats Warrior Magic Juice. An infusion that brings about confidence, courage, protection, resilience, determination, focus and emotional balance. All in one, warrior energy!

There are 71 Bush Flowers that I work with and you name it, there is a Bush Flower for everyone. In the case of sport, public speaking, singing, acting, any big performance - they’re an incredible confidence booster that I absolutely love making for clients to take before their big event 💫

The incredible aftereffects of ScarWork Therapy, new at Wattle Hill! See previous post for more details🌻

I’m currently treating this client’s 8-year-old cesarean scar and epidural area. What I love about this treatment, as much as I’m treating the cosmetic aspect of the scar, I’m also treating the surrounding area of the scar and the underlying symptoms and effects that scars can have long-term on the body. The main type of scars I’ll be focusing on at Wattle Hill is abdominal, reproductive and pelvic scars.

A common side effect for these types of scars can be digestive, back and pelvic/reproductive issues. These were all symptoms of this client and after 3 sessions all these symptoms have drastically improved. She now feels like a new woman🌟

Scars can look good on the surface though deep down can affect all depths of fascia, creating a pulling effect on joints and organs just like this image on the left. The treatment is based on improving the appearance of the scar, restoring tissue function, movement and releasing emotional and energetic memories from the past that can be stored in the body and spirit.

All wrapped up in one, experiencing this treatment feels extremely relaxing, nurturing, exciting and deeply transformative 🦋

It’s called Sharon Wheeler’s ScarWork and I’m so excited to have this incredible therapy added to Wattle Hill’s menu 🌻

ScarWork is so much more than treating the cosmetic aspect of a scar. Scars tell a story and this unique therapy helps with the story behind the scar on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. What’s also incredible is that you can treat scars that are many years old and you will still reap the benefits and effects.

Whether it’s a surgical or non-surgical scar, big or small, scars can have a knock-on effect on the fascia in the body. Even if a scar looks aesthetically good on the surface, underneath the skin, as scar tissue matures it can affect all depths of fascia. Creating a pulling effect that can go body-wide, putting bones, joints and organs out of alignment.

ScarWork is a deeply relaxing and nurturing treatment. A light touch is applied using fascia tissue techniques, starting with the surface layers then into the depths of the scar and beyond. It really is a joy to feel and experience this kind of therapy!

I’ve been super lucky to have worked with DMK skincare for 18 years and still to this day it puts a big smile on mine and clients faces! Over the years I would occasionally go and work for businesses that worked with other brands so I could learn different techniques when treating the skin. Years ago, I was told I had a reverted uterus/womb. Where the womb tilts backward toward the re**um instead of forward toward the abdomen. I was curious to know more, though at the time there wasn’t much information out there to delve a little deeper. I mainly found that it affected around 20% of women and the usual causes were sacral injuries, high impact activity, complicated labours, postpartum and trauma. The womb can also become displaced in other areas of the pelvic region.

Over the years doing energy work and generational healing on myself, I felt my womb return to a frontal position. This then ignited my curiosity again about the womb and the deeper emotional and spiritual philosophies behind the reproductive system. During this period, I ended up going on a pretty wild reproductive healing journey (a story for another day!) that opened many doors in the most beautiful way 🦋

Along the path I came across the above quote by traditional Mayan healer, Don Elijio Panti. The teacher then appeared via his lineage which led me to learn about Tul’ix/Arvigo Therapy. An ancient bodywork practice designed to release tension in the belly, gently realign pelvic organs and restore the emotional, mental and spiritual element of a person’s being.

When I’m treating someone, it’s not about trying to force the womb back into its centre. Its more about treating the persons whole being holistically by assisting to release old stories, emotional armour and trauma in a gentle way that are so often held in our belly and pelvic region. This in time allows for the womb and other organs to realign in an optimal position. Men benefit just as much from this treatment, especially for prostate care. Even if a hysterectomy or other organ removals have taken place, it’s an amazing way to re-connect with your womb/creative center and encourage further healing.
