Davis Emotional Well-being

Davis Emotional Well-being Anthony (MBACP) is an experienced counsellor, psychotherapist, coach and mental health consultant

As individuals, I believe we have different needs when looking for therapeutic support. I strongly believe that therapy can provide beneficial improvements in mental well-being and the decision making that is right for us. I have over 10 years experience working as a counselor and psychotherapist with individuals of various age groups and diverse backgrounds. Practicing in both the United States and the United Kingdom, I have worked with clients exhibiting a range of difficulties that impact their lives and cause them emotional and psychological distress. I have worked in both the local authority and the NHS as a social care manager, counselor and therapist in a GP surgery. I offer my clients a confidential space where we can explore together difficulties you may experience. I am happy to be contacted to arrange an initial session to discuss what you want to achieve from working together.

Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, I’m especially honoured to share that I’ve been featured in the Daily Mail talking about men’s mental health (see link to article in bio).

Too often, men’s struggles are overlooked or misunderstood, showing up as anger, exhaustion, or even physical pain rather than sadness. In the article, I talk about how traditional ideas of masculinity can stop men from reaching out until things reach a breaking point.

Having this conversation in the mainstream today feels more important than ever. If even one man reads this, feels less alone, and takes that first step toward help, that’s everything.

I’m deeply grateful for this platform, and committed to breaking down stigma and building more compassionate, practical support for men everywhere. Let’s keep talking, keep listening, and keep saving lives.

Pride Month isn’t just a celebration, it’s a continuation. A continuation of the legacy of resistance sparked by Black and Brown trans women at Stonewall. A continuation of the struggle for safety, dignity, and full humanity for all LGBTQIA+ people.

In 2025, we find ourselves celebrating Pride while also confronting a surge in anti-trans legislation, violent rhetoric, and targeted discrimination. From healthcare bans to bathroom bills, the rights of trans and nonbinary people are being stripped away under the guise of “protection.” Let’s be clear: trans rights are human rights.

Pride is not just about parades—it’s about presence.
It’s not just about visibility—it’s about liberation.
And this year, we are turning up the volume for our trans siblings whose voices are being silenced in the halls of power.

This Pride, let joy and justice walk hand in hand. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈✊🏾

Today is often referred to as Blue Monday—dubbed the “most depressing day of the year.” While the January chill, post-holiday slump, and fading New Year resolutions can weigh on us, it’s also a moment to pause, reflect, and focus on what truly matters: our well-being.

If you’re feeling low today, you’re not alone. It’s okay to acknowledge it. But remember, this day doesn’t define you, and it can be a stepping stone for growth.

Here are a few small actions that might help turn the tide:
💡 Connect: Reach out to a friend, colleague, or loved one for a chat. A kind word can go a long way.
💡 Breathe: Take a mindful moment for yourself—whether that’s a walk, a deep breath, or a cup of tea.
💡 Reassess: Revisit your goals with compassion. Progress, not perfection, is the goal.

If today feels heavy, remember brighter days are ahead. Each step forward is progress, and seeking help or support is a sign of strength.

Let’s support one another—today and every day. 💙

Grateful to have contributed to an article for in honor of Movember, shedding light on the critical topic of men’s mental health. We discussed the stigma around depression and why it’s so important for men to prioritise seeking support. Mental health matters, and breaking down barriers to open conversation is key. Let’s continue to raise awareness and encourage each other to take that step towards wellness.

Black History Month invites us to step into the role of storytellers with the theme of ‘Reclaiming Narratives’. This year, we are taking control of our history, correcting inaccuracies, and honoring the voices often left unheard. It’s time to shine a light on the full complexity of Black heritage and celebrate our contributions to culture, art, and society. Let’s unite in building a future where every narrative is told with dignity and truth.
