Our specialist unit is a complex behaviour suite, run by dedicated and experienced staff. Staff aim to provide individualised person centered care to all residents. There is a warm friendly environment and strong relationships are formed between Residents, Relatives and Care Staff. Relatives are strongly encouraged to be involved in the care planning of their loved ones. Our complex behaviour suite consists of 15 en suite bedrooms, designed to ensure safety is key. The complex behaviour suite is also equipped with a communal lounge where social activities take place, a dining area and kitchenette, a sensory room and de-escalation Room. Services & Facilities

Yesterday we celebrated Earth Day in the best way possible—getting our hands dirty in the garden 🌱🌍

We spent the day outdoors, clearing space, turning the soil, and starting our potato planting for the season. There’s something really satisfying about slowing down, connecting with nature, and knowing that what we plant now will (hopefully!) turn into something we can enjoy later.

It wasn’t about doing anything big or perfect—just small, meaningful steps to appreciate and care for the world around us. Here’s to more days outside, fresh air, and watching things grow 💚

Today we had a lovely creative session with Lucy from Creative Minds, and it was a wonderful success!

Our residents really enjoyed getting involved and expressing themselves by making their own beautiful flower pictures 🌸🌼 Each piece was unique, full of colour, and a great reflection of everyone’s creativity.

It was fantastic to see so many smiles, laughter, and a real sense of pride in their artwork. Activities like this are such a great way to relax, socialise, and let creativity shine.

A big thank you to Lucy for leading such an enjoyable session—we’re already looking forward to the next one!

🌻 Sunflower Competition Update – Day 19 🌻

We’re now 19 days into our sunflower competition, and things are looking great! 🌱

Our sunflowers are growing nicely, with strong stems and healthy green leaves starting to really take shape. It’s amazing to see how much progress they’ve made in such a short time.

Everyone’s plants are developing well, and it’s exciting to watch them reach a little higher each day. Keep up the great care and attention—watering, sunlight, and patience are clearly paying off!

We can’t wait to see how tall they’ll grow over the coming weeks… stay tuned for the next update! 🌻

We had a wonderful day in our care home today 😊

This morning was full of excitement as everyone enjoyed a lively game of bingo – lots of concentration, laughter, and a few lucky winners too!

In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome our lovely therapy dog, Rosie 🐶. She brought so many smiles and comfort to everyone she visited, and it was clear how much her presence meant to our residents.

Today at Heathlands we had a wonderful art session with Lucy 🌸

Everyone got stuck in creating beautiful flower collages, full of colour, creativity, and imagination. It was lovely to see each person’s unique style come to life, with so many different textures and designs brightening up the room.

A big thank you to Lucy for guiding such an enjoyable and relaxing session – and well done to everyone for their amazing creations!

🌻 Sunflower Competition Time! 🌻

We’re excited to announce a blooming lovely activity here at Heathlands — a Sunflower Growing Competition for all our wonderful residents! 🌱

Over the coming weeks, our residents will be planting, nurturing, and cheering on their very own sunflowers as they grow taller and brighter each day. 🌞💛 It’s a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors, get hands-on with nature, and spark a little friendly competition!

Who will grow the tallest sunflower? 🌻 Who will have the brightest bloom? We can’t wait to find out!

We’ll be sharing updates along the way, so keep an eye on our page to watch our sunflowers (and smiles!) grow. 🌿

Had such a lovely morning today making Easter chocolate nests with our wonderful residents 🐣🍫

There were lots of smiles and plenty of sneaky mini eggs along the way! It’s always so special spending time together doing simple activities that bring back memories and create new ones 💛

The finished treats turned out beautifully (and very tasty too!) — safe to say they didn’t last long and was enjoyed by all 😄

We spent the afternoon making our own Easter floating teacups, and they turned out absolutely magical 🫖🌸 It was so much fun bringing our ideas to life and adding all the little decorative touches.

Our residents have been getting into the Easter spirit by creating their very own beautiful Easter wreaths 🌸🐣

With the help and guidance of our lovely Lucy from Creative Minds, everyone had the chance to get creative—choosing vibrant colours, patterns, and decorations to make each wreath truly unique. As you can see, the results are absolutely stunning!

Activities like this not only bring out creativity but also spark joy, conversation, and a wonderful sense of achievement. We’re so proud of what everyone has made, and they’re now ready to brighten up the home just in time for Easter 🐰✨

Today has been such a lovely day here at our care home 🌸

This morning, Tammy and Jill spent some time in the garden, planting beautiful flowers at the front of our home. It’s already looking so bright and welcoming, and we can’t wait to see everything bloom!

In the afternoon, we were delighted to be joined by our wonderful therapy dog Rosie and her owner Emma. Rosie brought so many smiles and lots of comfort to everyone—she truly made the day extra special 🐾💕
