Well this was a little outside my comfort zone. Walking up a wonderful limestone falls. What an amazing experience! Going against the tide isn’t always easy but so much better for your personal goals. Sometimes going against the tide simply means choosing what feels healthy for you. Nutrition and exercise can be unique to you, not one size approach.

Well as my friends know I am not a morning person. But here at yoga retreat, the first yoga of the day is at 730 am and Chang mai is a little chilly in the mornings. So when the gong gets hit at 630 am to get up, well that’s it. No arguing with myself, no snoozing or hot drink in bed. Once I’m up there is no other decision to change my mind. Then at 930 am I’m feeling amazing for the day. So just make that first decision, book exercise with a friend or book a class. Hope your new intentions are going well.

Day one of yoga retreat. Thought I needed an extra boost to help me be more consistent this year. Great way to stay healthy while away. Just the sounds of birds, grasshoppers and maybe few monkeys. Full vegan meals here to help me bring more plant based. Sometimes we just need a little calmness in our day wherever you can find it. retreat

2026 intention is not about weight loss but being the healthiest in menopause. I’m finishing a certificate from British Menopause Society to have the most up to date information on all areas of menopause. I will concentrate on weight bearing exercises with weights but gentle exercise like yoga here too. I will always strive to drink more water. Consistency with my running, walking. Lastly, I will be more plant based, more legumes, less animal proteins. Better for animals but better for my health in menopause. What are your intentions for next year?

Almost end of the year so I’m thinking about my goals next year. Ten km race in Paris in march, half marathon in jersey in march. And maybe island walk ? Yes the island walk had to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I thought because I’m a runner and do a few half marathons a year, I could do the island walk. Well, lack of training of the north coast did not help. I almost gave up a few times. Walking along St Ouens by myself was the hardest. But friends, volunteers and wonderful walkers keep me going. So next time, I would like to do it as a relay. Anyone want to join me? It’s beautiful coastal paths, great achievement and promise bubbly at finish line.

Well another year comes to a close and now taking a little break during the holidays. Another busy year and more exciting things to come in new year. Last year was busy now working in two offices to meet the needs of clients and . Expanding the EmployeeNutritionMOT to include stress and sleep offer with .sleep.yogi to help employees be healthier and happier. Working with Qina to offer a package for clients on their weight loss journey with GLP-1s. Testing app and programme to help clients eat mindfully with . Lots of exciting things completed and new beginnings in 2026. Here I’m participating in a yoga class during a break but staying authentic to my health goals. Have a wonderful Christmas and hoping everyone is having a nice break too

Setting goals isn’t just about grinding nonstop. It’s about building a life where breaks are earned, memories are made, and growth still happens quietly. This holiday is proof that discipline and enjoyment can exist in the same season. Maybe change is good for your fitness goals.
