For some people may be a way to get fit, for others health and stress release, or maybe spiritual and self-development needs (or a little bit of everything)…
The important thing is that you've chosen to start this journey. As a dancer, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve heard negative comments like “not good enough”, “you need to lose weight”, “bad technique”, “you don’t have a dancer body/legs”… This kind of judgement can end many people’s dreams and seriously affect their self-esteem. I've learnt how to take care of this marvelous machine that works so hard and many times it’s not being appreciated. It makes me want to help others to be kind with themselves by doing their best, and improving step by step. There is no one to impress, no shows, no competitions and no prizes. . Hard work, patience and faith are the main keys to get your goals. The truth is, Yoga changes people (it has changed me too), not only physically, but mentally and spiritually also. No matter what is your body shape or condition, your religion or believes, your age, your sex or your occupation, there is a place for each of us in here. You just need to be willing to practice, practice, practice, and the rest will come.
