The experienced team at St Vincent's House provides personalised nursing and dementia care for older people on a permanent or respite basis. St Vincent's House has a real family feel and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The home is bright and spacious with beautiful facilities including a comfy cinema room, a vintage tea room café, as well as a sun lounge and activity room. The home and grounds are fully wheelchair accessible, so residents can enjoy relaxing in large garden space, or even getting involved in the weeding and planting. Residents at St Vincent's House have their own unique, personalised care plans, which are continually monitored and updated to account for any changes to care needs or personal wishes.

Big smiles, bright eyes, and plenty of curiosity filled the room during our mobile garden activity 🌸🌿

Despite the winter season, residents were delighted to see beautiful plants and flowers brought right to them. There were lovely moments of residents gently smelling the flowers, touching the leaves, and sharing their thoughts and memories. The scents and colours sparked wonderful conversations—stories of past gardens, favourite flowers, and happy times spent outdoors.

It was truly heartwarming to see how a simple mobile garden brought joy, connection, and a sense of nature into our care home, even on a winter’s day 💚

🌸 Flower Arranging Fun in the Home 🌸

Residents recently enjoyed a beautiful flower arranging activity filled with creativity, teamwork, and wonderful sensory moments. From stopping to smell the fresh flowers to brainstorming together about how each bloom would sit perfectly in the vase, everyone played a part in completing the arrangements.

It was lovely to see residents working as a team, sharing ideas, and taking pride in their creations. The finished flower arrangements were then proudly displayed throughout the home, adding colour, joy, and a personal touch for everyone to enjoy. 💐

Residents stepped back in time today as they enjoyed the timeless classic Gone With The Wind on the big screen in our cinema room. With comfy seats, dimmed lights, and plenty of nostalgia in the air, it was a truly special afternoon filled with memories, conversation, and smiles.

Of course, no cinema experience would be complete without popcorn! 🍿 The smell of freshly popped popcorn filled the room, adding to the excitement and making it feel just like a trip to the movies. Residents relaxed, reminisced, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this classic film experience.

Residents, colleagues and visitors were all shook up dancing, singing, and grooving along to the King’s greatest hits! Laughter filled the room as residents, colleagues, and visitors hit the dance floor together 💃🕺

When the Elvis impersonator appeared, jaws dropped, smiles widened, and hearts were instantly won — everyone were stunned, amused, and absolutely adored him (some may still believe it was the real Elvis 😉).

All in honour of Elvis Presley’s birthday on January 8th, this rock ’n’ roll tribute had everyone singing along and loving every minute. A legendary day full of music, moves, and memories! 🎤✨

Today, residents were treated to a visit from the hairdresser, and let’s just say… the glow-ups were REAL 😍 From big smiles to even bigger hairspray moments, there was laughter, chats, and a few “I feel 20 years younger!” comments flying around 😊

Residents enjoyed a lovely yoga session, taking time to stretch, breathe, and gently move their bodies.

With calm focus and steady concentration, everyone followed the exercises at their own pace, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and sense of wellbeing.

There were plenty of smiles as residents supported and encouraged one another, showing that staying active can be both relaxing and enjoyable.

Residents had a wonderful time enjoying a lively game of Bingo 🎉

You could really see the focus and concentration as everyone carefully watched their cards, waiting patiently for that special number to be called 👀

The room was full of smiles, laughter, and happy faces, with plenty of excitement as numbers were called and lines started to fill up 😄✨

A big congratulations to our Bingo winners, who were delighted with their simple prizes — proof that the simplest things are often the ones that bring the most happiness 🎁🏆

Residents had an amazing time celebrating our Year-End / New Year Party on the 31st of December enjoying feel-good music, singing along, happy smiles, dancing feet, and lots of laughter and food. It was truly a special moment that reminded us how meaningful it is to come together, share joy, and create beautiful memories 💃🎶😊

✨ Looking Back on a Joy-Filled 2025 ✨

As we reflect on 2025, the residents of St. Vincent’s House Care Home have enjoyed spending time sharing cherished memories of the many activities they have taken part in throughout the year 💬💖

From music and games to arts and crafts, celebrations, trips, community engagement, and social gatherings, the room was filled with lovely smiles, laughter, and meaningful interactions. Residents happily shared their own stories, recalling their favourite moments with such joy and enthusiasm. The sound of cheerful conversations truly showed just how much these activities have meant to them 😊🎶🎨

It was heart-warming to see everyone so engaged, relaxed, and jolly as they reflected on a year full of connection, fun, and special memories. Moments like these remind us how important shared experiences are in creating happiness and wellbeing in our home 💛

As 2025 draws to a close, we would like to thank everyone who has been a big part of our St. Vincent’s family. It has truly been an amazing year, and we are so grateful for your continued support 😊

🎁🎄 Christmas smiles say it all! 🎄🎁

Residents at St. Vincent’s were filled with pure delight as they received their Christmas presents and wonderful Christmas cards from different schools — each one welcomed with big smiles and grateful hearts.

It’s amazing how a small gift and a sincere, thoughtful Christmas card can make such a big difference, bringing joy, comfort, and a reminder that they are truly cherished.

Moments like these are what Christmas is all about ❤️
