🎾Tennis Elbow? It’s Not Just for the Pros
Tennis elbow — or lateral epicondylitis — is a condition involving irritation of the tendons on the outside of the elbow, often caused by repetitive gripping, lifting, or wrist movements. And despite the name, most people who suffer with it have never picked up a tennis racket.
If you’re experiencing pain when lifting a kettle, opening doors, or gripping objects — it may be time to get it assessed professionally.
🔍Osteopathy offers a targeted and holistic approach to managing and resolving tennis elbow. Rather than focusing solely on the painful area, an osteopath will assess how your whole body may be contributing to the issue — including your posture, shoulder stability, neck mobility, and wrist mechanics.
Through a combination of:
👐Manual therapy to release tension in the forearm and surrounding areas
🦴Joint articulation to improve mobility throughout the upper limb and spine
💡Advice on modifying activity and promoting tissue healing
🧘‍♂️Rehabilitation exercises to restore function and prevent recurrence
…osteopathy supports both short-term pain relief and long-term recovery.
Whether you’re a tennis player, a desk worker, or a DIY enthusiast — tennis elbow can be disruptive. Osteopathic treatment is a safe and effective way to support your body’s healing process and help you return to daily life pain-free.

I’ve heard of tennis elbow, but what is tennis knee?
Patellar Tendonitis (also known as Jumper’s Knee) is an inflammation of the patellar tendon, which connects the kneecap to the shinbone, can be caused by repetitive jumping and landing, including when playing tennis.

Mastitis Management in Physiotherapy: Key Insights

We’re excited to share our poster on mastitis and how physiotherapy can support treatment!
Our team ~ Amy Williamson, Valentina Roffi, and Anj Periyasamy, alongside the lovely Gail Subramaniam ~ co-authored this research, exploring the role of physiotherapy in managing this common condition.

Key points from the research:
✨ Early intervention with techniques like manual therapy and lymphatic drainage can help reduce inflammation and pain.
🤝 A multidisciplinary approach—working alongside lactation consultants and GPs—leads to the best outcomes.
📚 Patient education on breast care, proper positioning, and self-massage is crucial to prevent recurrence.
💖 Addressing mental health is just as important as managing the physical symptoms of mastitis.

Take a closer look at our poster for a deeper understanding of the treatments and approaches that can make a difference.
